Great place for food and especially pies.. I love the strawberry pie. So did my mom. Too bad so many locations have closed.

Marie Callender's has been around for a long time. This location is tucked away in a quiet area along Freeport Blvd next to some banks and has lots of parking.

The staff was very friendly and the place was bustling as we were there during Sunday morning brunch. We were seated quickly and ordered an Omelet and a pancake breakfast which were both served pretty promptly.

The food was decent and nothing special. The bacon was a bit blah, which is disappointing. By blah I mean it was a bit cold, mostly salty, and not well balanced between fat and meat. The coffee was kind of bitter so that takes my rating down a star. The omelet had a lot of veggies and there the portion was large.

Overall I'd recommend stopping in if it's convenient.

I bought two pies one cherry and a no sugar apple. They got the order wrong gave me 2 apple pies . I went back to tell the owner that they are a apple pie . But I still wanted the the cherry pie . My father is type 2. Diabetic . So he didn't get to eat a no sugar apple pie . The lady gave me the cherry pie plus a dollar back . But my dad never got any pie . So I toke back the no sugar pie . When I got there the lady told me the no sugar pie . Was a sugar apple pie . I glad my dad didn't eat it or he would be complaining that his blood sugar was up . I been going there for 15 plus years . And I gave them a 5 dollar tip . The day I got the pie .

Need more of these around. They would make a fortune if they had one in Folsom or El Dorado Hills Ca.

We decided NOT to cook this Thanksgiving. We've tried other places for precooked holiday meals (so far, Nugget Market had been the best). This year we decided to try Marie Callender. We've been going there for years for the pies... What a disappointing meal. First, mashed potatoes were GARLIC mashed potatoes. Who does that for a holiday dinner? And the order form didn't say anything about garlic mashed potatoes. The gravy was WAY too salty. The only thing that was okay was the turkey, cornbread and pies. Not going back!
