We had a couple not so comfortable things happen being there. We have several Mexican food restaurants we go to so we compare; however the domestic beer is over priced. Our experience has been with all restaurants complementary chips and salsa, but no. Menu very expensive and our favorite restaurants are not. Last the bar chairs were filthy and stained. We travel so our opinions is from different restaurants experience's. So I'll say this place is mediocre. Save your money.
Bland food.
Poor service.
Great location.
The menu descriptions and atmosphere makes you feel like you are about to have an eccentric and amazing meal. In turn, you get stewed bland meat, cold chips, and rubbery tortillas.
The only thing that was more bland, was our waiter's personality. For this gentleman's demeanor/personality, this is the worst profession for him; inattentive and no facial expressions.
Great bar and restaurant although I think it's under a new owner. It has a new name also. I always enjoy drinking there and the food is good.

Great bar and restaurant although I think it's under a new owner. It has a new name also. I always enjoy drinking there and the food is good.
Wife and I sat at the bar, around 730pm. I dont recall there names, but there was 2 bartenders. Both of which were ladies. 1 short and the other taller.
The shorter of the 2 was very rude. Another couple came in about 5 minutes after us. Sat right next to us.
All 4 of us sat there about 15 minutes before she acknowledged us. Assuming they were busy I would understand, but it was not at all, and being that we were on her end of the bar she was our server/bartender. When she 1st acknowledged us all she did was give us menus and walked away. She was very busy being very friendly with another guy sitting by himself toward the middle of the bar. About 10 minutes later she came over and asked if we would like to start with something to drink. Yes, 2 waters and 2 beers. We'll, needless to say we never got the drinks. About 10 minutes after she took our drink orders, we watched her get called to the back, assuming it was a manager. Soon as she did, the taller lady came over, took our drink orders. Had drinks about 2 minutes later, then took our food order. She apologized for the service, but she will take care of us now. 3 drinks each, food was great.
Then out of no where the shorter one came back. Was very visibly upset. Walked by us, took my glass of beer that still had about an inch in it. I said excuse me, she ignored me. I said it again, she turned around and said yes, I said why would you just take my beer, she said you were done with it no. I said no, but since you took it, can I get another one. She said yes, in a few minutes. What the hell kind of service is this.
About 10 mins later someone else came over and asked if we would like anything else, said no, can we get our check please.
Food was great, service was good except from the one short bartender. Maybe she needs to stop working about the guy she was concentrating on and do her job.

Expansive food. Small portions. No refill on drinks. No lemon with tacos. Tacos have only one Tortilla. So better just go to Chipotle if you don't want real Mexican...

This place is very popular and I can see why. I had a margarita while I waited for my takeaway. It was quite a wait to get served. I had the chicken mole and it was very good. I think the service would be better if they stayed open a little later and turned over the tables for a late service. The place has too many guests all at once.

Aesthetically inside, very nice, outside dining was great too. Unfortunately the food was subpar for Mexican food. Unfortunately it's hard to find good mole these days. I tried the mole chicken enchiladas, and it was absolutely drowned in mole sauce, which really wasn't that great and actually tasted a little burnt. Definitely not worth what I paid for.

Wonderful restaurant with great choices. I had the 3 taco meal and it was very good 👍. My fiance had carnitas, and he said he loved it. The atmosphere was very nice and occupied by happy patrons. We are definitely going to go back soon.

Had an excellent dinner last night. The pescado oaxaqueño and maya margarita were topnotch. Rodrigo was friendly, knowledgable, and provided excellent service. This is a must visit stop when in Sacramento.
Excellent. It was hard to choose from all the amazing things on the menu. I knew from the first bite that it was something special.
