Maydoon Restaurant

DELICIOUS!!! Worth every penny! The server was really good about recommendations when we asked and everything was outstanding. We had the chicken kabobs (ask for chicken thighs), rack of lamb, Mayadoon salad(the most delicious dressing EVER!!), veggie kabobs, and a trio of dips to start with, and ended with a scoop of ice cream and baklava. All the meats were juicy and super flavorful. I left so full and so happy. This is going to be a regular spot for me even though it's a 40 minute drive for me. Please try it. You won't regret it.

Great food and very friendly service. However, when the restaurant is full of people, it can be difficult to hear conversation at the table.

Dinner was absolutely "Delicious" and perfectly cooked and plated beautifully. Service was attentive. Ordered Kabobs Barge(filet beef) Chicken bell peppers & onions Chicken Soltani & ground sirloin Maydoon Salad Persian Ice Cream ** ( Must try ) (Served Family Style) We will be back !!!

Great find with fun vibe. Food was plentiful, fresh and delicious! Neat flavor profiles with lots of choices!

Great experience and lively staunch hour which we enjoyed. And the black Persian tea is sooo good!

This was my first time at this restaurant in Sacramento. Very nice and attentive staff, and a nice downtown atmosphere. The food is really good too. However, I’ve had better Persian food in other restaurants in Sacramento. Salad Shirazi was really tasteless. Joo Biden can be improved. Their chelo Kabab barg was good, and the Kashk e bademjoon was pretty good with fresh pitta bread. Our group felt that Gheymeh and rice were also nice.

Persian food, okay but not great. A bit on the dry side, yet still flavorful, abundant amounts served. Attentive service was lacking, perhaps because I was at sidewalk patio. Plate half filled with food, from another customer who had left, sat for over half hour before being cleared away. Of course attracting many flies. There were many diners. I'll try again.

I've been here many times and this was our first lunch at maydoon. It was SO lovely. Not as extensive menu as dinner, but I didn't need it to be. It was my mom's first time and the server took the time to explain ingredients in a few of his favorite apps and gave some amazing suggestions. Can't wait to go back for lunch again soon!

Maydoon is one of those spots that makes downtown dining feel easy and exciting. The vibe is modern and warm, music at a happy hum, and the energy from the street spills right in. We started with mast-o-musir and warm pita, and it set the tone perfectly, creamy yogurt with that gentle shallot bite. From there the Sultani arrived glistening from the grill, juicy and well seasoned with that smoky char I love, paired with fluffy saffron rice and a roasted tomato that actually tastes like summer.

The chicken breast with a side salad surprised me in the best way, tender and lemony with crisp greens and a bright house dressing. And the lamb shank was the showstopper, fall-off-the-bone in a rich tomato and turmeric broth that soaked into the rice just right. Service was kind and attentive, and the pacing let us linger without ever waiting on a thing. Delicious food, cool location, and a place I’d happily come back to for another round of that lamb shank and mast-o-musir.

EIGHT OF US (AGE RANGE 9-81) HAD A WONDERFUL, PERFECTLY PREPARE DINNER. WE ORDERED KABOBS, SALADS AND TWO COMBO APPETIZERS. ALL OF US WERE DELIGHTED WITH OUR MEALS WHICH WE SHARED WITH EACH OTHER. THE SERVICE WAS ATTENTIVE AND VERY RESPONSIVE-EXTREMELY WELL TRAINED STAFF. THIS IS, BY FAR, MY FAVORITE SACRAMENTO RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!
