Everyone needs to eat here. The food is delicious, affordable, and so fresh! The people who run it are very kind and the the pita bread is fresh baked and still hot from the oven. This is a hidden Sacramento gem! My new go-to when I'm in this neighborhood.

Eat the shawarma, chicken or beef, on samoon bread. There's veggies, and sauce, and meat, and so much delightful flavor. I like it so much that my mouth wont bother to converse whilst sharing a meal. It's astonishingly good and excellent value for money

I wish I had remembered to take pictures of the food because it was great. My wife and I shared the veggie combo and the shawarma combo so we could get an idea of the full menu. The bread was great and went well with the hummus. We got half chicken and half beef shawarma and they were both tender and well seasoned. The worker recommended having it with the spicy sauce and I'd definitely get that again. Falafel was also really good. I had to fight my wife over the Dolmas, best ones I've had in a long time. If I'm craving them again, definitely coming here and grabbing another cup of the fresh pomegranate juice. For the ambiance, it was really laid back and we were able to get some studying and work done while we enjoyed our meal. Service was very quick for how much she had to make fresh for our order.

I've been to this Mediterranean Market many times, but I have never tried their restaurant next door. I came to this market because my friend Nawal recommended it and she indicated it's one of the best markets in Sacramento when you're looking for top quality ingredients and foods from the Mediterranean and the Middle East. I bought a bag of Bulgar, Couscous and Bulgarian Feta cheese for a salad recipe that I found on Pinterest. They have so many different imported foods that you can't find at any other grocery store, The staff is very friendly and helpful and will take you to the isle of the food item you are looking for plus they will also point out that there are many different manufacturers that produce the same food items. The store is very clean, spacious, and very well organized. If you have a unique food item that you are looking for, please visit this store. You will be amazed of all the great food items this store offers.

UPDATE : the owner has replied to my review and although I appreciate their effort in resolving any issues I am dismayed to see that the response is not true. I was not given an option to have a complimentary meal. I only spoke to the worker preparing the food and at the very beginning when I spoke briefly with the store clerk from the other business (adjoined entrance) to see if the restaurant was open. I am going to assume the best and think that the response from the owner is because he/she is confusing me with another customer that was also dissatisfied. However, that would mean that besides me there was someone else dissatisfied with their business. After reading the reviews from other customers I decided to make the drive to this place in hopes of finding a new place to go for a middle eastern craving that is not too busy. I got half of what I asked for, when I visited the location looked like it was closed since no open sign was on and the restaurant looked empty. I walked in and said hello hoping to get greeted by anyone but no one came out so I had to go to the food/grocery market that share the same entrance to ask the clerk if food services were open. He went to the restaurant side and a gentleman came out. Ordering the food was easy since there was a menu and I wanted to try the pomegranate juice but all the drinks were finished and it was barely 5pm with no one in the establishment. I figured I’d wait for my food since I’ve noticed that in some places when the customer service is terrible the food is amazing. Well that isn’t the case here I went to the car immediately after receiving my food and started to eat and my food was cold as if taken out of the fridge. The food could have been put into a microwave at least to salvage it but it was so salty that I had to throw my food away. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
