Our service was cool, I had to break the ice with him a little to get him a bit more chipper but overall it worked out perfect. The food was cool price is crazy but that is normal for the makuni life.

I took my kids here for my youngest b day and was expecting good service, amazing food, and a nice atmosphere.
First off the server didn't even say hi or how are you guys or welcome in. He just put waters on the table and asked if waters will be enough?
It was 230pm and slow so I know he wasn't overwhelmed.

I forgot the name of the plate I ordered but it had udon noodles, asparagus and beef.
The server recommended the beef over chicken because he said the chicken is normally dry. So I said ok. The plate finally came 15min later and everything except the noodles was cold. The meat had zero flavor and tasted like dry beef jerky. The (cold) asparagus tasted like they only used the stalk of the plant and it kept stabbing the inside of my mouth due to the way it was cut.
If the server had any prior experience he would know to come check how the food is before everyone is completely done with their plate. Unless we just didn't look like we have money maybe. His tip reflected his service.
The Trainwreck roll was rated 5 out of 10 by my oldest. We have ordered this before and it was sub par today. Rated bland not much taste. Which would match the meat on my food.

When we walked in there was music playing. After the song ended that was it, quiet all we could hear is the servers talking which was annoying. It made me regret coming. 30min later another song played but that was it once it was over.

We were not asked if we wanted a desert menu (I told the server it's my daughters birthday, you'd expect desert wouldn't you?)

TRAIN YOUR STAFF.
Do they not teach customer service anymore? I served tables for 5 years and made a lot of money doing so. Greeting your table is step #1! Come on, if your missing the basics, your missing the entire point.

Came in with family. Kids menu is only limited to beef or chicken. Wouldn’t substitute salmon so we had to order the adult salmon teriyaki. Instead of rice we wanted to do fries for the kids. Wouldn’t allow that either. Offered no solutions or help just kept saying no to everything. Took a while to get our food. Was missing a roll and it took them 20 mins to come out with it. Server barely came around. Don’t know what happened to this place

I was blown away with the whole experience at this sushi restaurant. The service was amazing and the waitress was very attentive. She helped us understand their extensive menu, sauces, different rolls, appetizers, etc… Additionally, drinks were constantly topped off. Everything tased amazing. I’ve been to MANY sushi restaurants all over the nation and this was just as good as the best of them. The whole place was clean. There are options to boot for everyone in the family. Give it a shot. It’s delicious!

Hamachi makes me happy!

I haven't been to Mikuni's in a long time and this was my first time at this location. My wife brings it home when she meets with her friends. We all met here for a friend's birthday. It did not disappoint. Everything was great. We had the spicy edamame and puffs to start. I had the 49er Jack roll and my wife had her usual Jerry roll. They were really good as usual. It was nice to eat them in the restaurant for a change. Even when my wife brings them home, they are still great, but fresh is best. I will continue to return and recommend to anyone that enjoys good sushi and Japanese cuisine.

Great food. Ac was blowing hard on lur table and though it was super hot, we were freezing and uncomfortable. Also, we've always had fast turn-around from order to receiving food but in this instance, we waiting a long time for our food. Otherwise service and food were really good.
