Ordered a lunch bento box, with sesame chicken and beef teriyaki, the beef was gamey,not cooked all the way for half of the portion, the chicken was not sesame it looked like popcorn chicken, the service was slow even though there was like 6 people total in the restaurant, waited forever to even get a refill on the water

Best Japanese restaurant in Sacramento. Don’t waste your time at Mikuni. The food here blows every other local competitor out of the water. Consistent, repetitive greatness.

I have to note the serving size as well. Felt like I received two whole steaks with the beef teriyaki.

Gwen, Tyler, Kenny. Kenny brings the consistent deliciousness. Gwen and Tyler at the bar? Super amazing service. You want for nothing from a toothpick to a pitchfork to a chopstick. Name. Wanna chat? Good folks who will share recipes, fishing tips, talk bass lures to sauer Kraut and meatballs, and whatever else you'd want from a bar tender (being whole people as they are the topics you can engage may be limitless). Thanks again to everyone. Been my regular lunch spot for 3 years and the remodel and new open lunch seating is fab....but I'll still be with the good folks in the fab bar seating area. :)

Tried this establishment for first time today for take-out. I was impressed with the food, both quality and portion value. I ordered teriyaki chicken which was sliced and grilled chicken breast and came with white rice and cucumber sunomono. I also got sesame chicken, breaded, deep fried and sliced breast meat which also came with white rice and sautéed broccoli. Additionally I got their house fried rice and shrimp yakisoba (stir fry noodles with your choice of chicken, shrimp or veggie).

Everything was perfectly cooked and really good. In addition the server was exceptionally friendly and efficient. She took the time to explain the menu and answer any questions I had.

About the only minor thing is a lack of an online ordering system, so you either place the order at the counter and wait or phone order. Miyagi is located next to Grebitus Jewelers and beneath Lyon Realty at Lyon Village Center.

I highly recommend Miyagi and plan to become a regular customer.

I had a fantastic experience at this sushi restaurant. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is lively and fun, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff are professional, attentive, and catered to all our needs, ensuring we felt well taken care of. You really can't go wrong here—everything is simply wonderful. Highly recommended!

Asked if I was finished 10 times while dining. Rude main bartender eventually took my plate with 2 slices of Pepper fin on it while I was eating edamame. I mentioned it to him and he said he thought I was finished because I was eating edamame. Weird answer. Horrible service. I mentioned it to my neighbors who agreed that they need some fresh help there. Old faces are training the new ones to be idiots. Unfortunately, we all don’t swallow our food like starving savages, and 10 to 15 minutes. Should keep that in mind when someone’s dropping a couple bills for a small meal.
