These are the best tamales I've ever had. Probably the best in Sacramento, no joke. Excellent food, nice shop, and friendly staff. Great value, 10/10 would recommend.

Had a quick visit for tamales. She was a delight to talk with, had everything I needed, and more! 30 tamales and some pico de gallo.Got home ate a couple and was knocked out. Very good, homemade tamales. I look forward to a return visit soon.

Very nice customer service. But I was expecting more traditional style tamales and I think they're more plant based? I could be wrong but it was something different. Not bad just not traditional tamales.
Hey let's start with the atmosphere... It's cold at least at this time of the year and the tables, chairs, walls are dated. But then when the food comes out... MAGIC! what an incredibly delicious vegan treat for us. We ordered three different options and each equally incredible.
Vegetarian options: If you're vegan or vegetarian then you owe it to yourself to try this out. I give it a 9 out of 10 on the quality and fun of this place.

We loved this place. We're vegetarian so my husband and I shared 3 veg tamales for like $12.50. More than enough food.Great tamales and great setting.. Must warn you. This is not a sit down setting. Think of a food truck with a small indoor seating area.We will definitely be back.. Sorry no pics; we devoured the food before we were able to take any pics

I love this place, around Christmas time I always find myself craving tamales and Emma's has so many vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Cheese tamale.

Our Sacramento Roller Derby league sold Tamales for our league fundraiser. It was a yummy success.

This restaurant is located in a strip full of mechanics and other trade shops. On the day of my visit, parking was abundant.I ordered two pork tamales which came with a side of rice and beans and a canned drink. The service I received was great, the lady servicing the store at the time was sweet. The food was packaged very well. The tamales themselves were good, though the wrapping they're placed in tends to stick to the tamale and makes taking it off kind of annoying. Unfortunately, I didn't much enjoy the rice and beans as I found them kind of flavorless. The spicy salsa provided helped a bit but not much. All in all, they make pretty good tamales. I will probably be back sometime to try the other varieties!
Vegetarian options: Jalapeno and cheese tamale is an option, though lard is inherently unvegetarian.
