French/Beef dip was delicious exactly what a beef dip is meant to be. Had load of menu options you'll find something for everyone.

Edit: we came back for a second time the next day and service was AWFUL. It wasn't good to begin with but second time around somehow was worse. Waited 10 minutes to get on a 20 minute wait list when NO ONE was even waiting. With 8 open tables visible. We ended up leaving.

Cool atmosphere

It's my feelings that the best food, service and value comes from a locally owned and operated business. Mr Perry's is one of those! The food was plentiful, good and a fair price. The place I'd starting to get a bit worn on the edges. Maybe some areas need a bit more scrubbing. But that is covered by the quality of their food and kindness of their wait staff. Sit down, shut up and eat.

This has been a good, steady standby for us when we want breakfast in the area. It is not haute cuisine, just everyday good breakfast maybe a notch or two above what you would fix yourself. We heard to be prepared for a bit of sticker shock for the prices, and this was the case - but EVERY food place in California has gone up since Covid and all the other stuff since then. If you get there before 8, get one of their earlybird specials and save lots of $$$. I don't understand the complaints about the help - the 1000 watt smile of Demetria by itself almost made me give this a 5-star. This is not a fancy place, just a place to go for competent food in a quiet atmosphere - it works for us!

Very nice side salad & bowl of soup. Just the right amount of topping for the older (not fluffy) potato. Ordered the Prime rib special. They didn't have med. Rare cut, so I opted for the end cut. Served a very generous slice.
Mr Perry offers many of the meals I like, so I will come back to try something else.

Today we drove from Elk Grove to Mr. Perry’s today. We’ve frequented this establishment many times over the last 15 years and have always had a great experience. The restaurant was not busy and atmosphere was very unwelcoming this time. The staff appeared to be prejudice towards African Americans and we felt uncomfortable and decided to order a meal to go. They even followed a member of our party into the restroom . The new management and staff are not welcoming and we will not be returning to this establishment.
