This location has such a hard time following instructions for orders. Then you’re scared to ask them exactly for what you want because they think they know better than you how your taste buds work. So many things I could say- but they need to do better, put a little love into making the sandwiches/wraps and DON’T PUT COLD BACON that you’re charging extra for on sandwiches! That’s so gross. They make it seem as if Mr Pickles is no good. Take your time and make things how your yourself would want it- everyone works hard for their money, it’s not a donation it’s an EXCHANGE for what THE customer WANTS.

My wife and I came in for the first time to order sandwiches for lunch about a week ago. It was just ok. Very pricey. $40 for just 2 sandwiches and one side of macaroni salad. One sandwich was 14.00 and we both ordered regular/small size sandwich. The one young guy was very unprofessional when I asked him politely to please be careful with my bread for the sandwich because the way he was laying it on the counter it almost touched his apron twice. Not sanitary and he walked off and pursued to the back of the store without any knowledge. Another young lady saw that and proceeded to make my sandwich and was very nice. We won’t be back due to the lack of unprofessional demeanor and over priced.

Got the CJ Pastrami on wheat bread. Although the sandwich was good, there wasn't enough meat in it, about 1in on both ends had nothing. Whole sandwich was about 8in for almost $15. Free cookie was always good.

This place was packed at lunch time but they really get everybody through that line so fast! So impressed with the staff. The whole place wound up clearing out in about 30 minutes. Great sandwich. They actually do need to get some like regular oil and vinegar? This whole weird Italian dressing thing is bizarre to me. It's one of the difficult parts of living in California is the bizarre sandwich fixings. As long as you're okay with a dry sandwich or bring your own, it's spectacular

For anyone originally from the Bay Area, this location is the closest I've seen prepare the sandwiches to the original location in San Mateo. Brings me nostalgic vibes from high school days. Different names on the menu but same sandwiches (the original location used to name the sandwiches after local high school mascots.)
Staff are friendly and work as efficiently as possible when putting together a sandwich. Rushing a process like that, you can expect a messy product, so patience on our part helps out a lot. If not, you can always order for pick up.
One of the few places I don't mind tipping generously. I order from here every couple weeks and the consistency is noted.
Nice folks, great service, awesome food.
