Ive been going to the N st cafe for as long as I can remember. There is a laid back vibe there, and the customer service is always good, especially when they remember your order. They make a good cup of coffee, but mostly, I like their baked goods, like a pastry or toasted bagel with cream cheese. It’s cheap, very filling and tastes good. They also make smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, and stuff for lunch.

Have been here a few times now and I love it! The interior is so cute and has a great cozy vibe. Good amount of seating inside in addition to the outdoor space. The cafe is so lovely and the staff are very friendly! They have a great menu with various options. I usually get a breakfasted sandwich and I love how custom you can make it!
Recently I got a breakfast sandwich with sausage, tomato, lettuce, and cheese on a croissant. Love! Their croissants are super buttery and delicious. I also got an iced chai latte with oat milk. Really enjoyed it! It wasn’t too milky and had a nice flavor. Definitely recommend coming at least once especially if you’re already in the area like after the farmers market!
My chai iced latte was so good and my everything bagel sandwich was amazing. Tastes very fresh.

Food is ok, my opinion is it's not great and not gross. Coffee was great! Location is great. Atmosphere is great. I can sit there for hours with or without someone else. The staff is nice and great at their job. I have dined in and taken out. It is very expensive in my opinion , but that might be because everything costs so much now great place to enjoy coffee with a friend or with a book

Generally I would take a backseats on a review regarding a Cafe and the service to customers specifications in high regards to the foods being freshly made or cooked daily..this is what brings out a big 4 stars.

Their bagels are quite alright.
One of my vegetarian friends asked for an avocado toast and they literally gave him 4 thick avocado slices on a piece of bread, not even salt or pepper on it.

Just stopped by for a cup of coffee. But it's the perfect neighborhood coffee Cafe.
Love N St Cafe! Mom and Pop cafe with delicious food and always such kind service.
This is one of the only places you can get a good coffee AND a hardy breakfast sandwich without going to a sit-down diner. All other coffee shops now seem to only have a limited selection of overpriced pastries, but N St has a huge variety of tasty, fresh, hot food for a good price. I always get one of their many breakfast sandwiches and they make it fresh there on the spot with eggs, cheese, meat, and delicious veggies.
I have noticed the owners are also very kind and helpful to unhoused people in our community.
7 year update: If you're not leaving a 5 star review, then what are you doing with your life! A proper cafe in Sacramento. Independently owned and locally loved. Food, Coffee and happiness.

Saw them making sandwiches… the guy wiped his nose and then continued making the San which he was working on. I’ll take my falafel without a side of snot. Really disgusting. I walked right out the door before I made my order.
