I work near this place and always see the food truck driving down Northgate Blvd so when I saw they were at Aftershock I thought I should give them a try. I ordered a not hot chicken sandwich which was prepared somewhat quick but they had just gotten power back to the truck so they get a pass for that. After finding a place to sit I started eating the sandwich only to find it was the hot sandwich which is not what I ordered. The hot sauce on the fried chicken had almost no flavor...
The chicken comes in 5 degrees of hot. I chose mild. Glad I did. It had plenty of heat and was delicious. The “naked” level was the choice of chicken my wife chose. The “naked” chicken had no heat, but it was very delicious.
Ive been craving fried chicken for a few months now. More specifically, nashville style. I did my research online, and was surprised that the closest location was 45 min - 1hr away. Well, I finally made the drive today. And they did not disappoint!! The chicken was everything I had dreamed of. The spice, the coleslaw, the pickles = heaven.
