Homemade tortillas you can’t find anywhere else in Sacramento, great food and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff always tries to do their best by serving you as quickly as they can. Support family owned businesses!

Had the combo plate: enchilada and tostada de birria. The rice and refried beans were spot on; the tostada meaty enough and the enchilda, perfect enough to round out my dinner but best of all, the handmade tortilla. I could not finish the combo, so I'llI have some rice and refried beans and the rest of that chewy tortilla for breakfast. Thx

Great service, very friendly and efficient. I went out of my way to eat at Nena's because I'd read great reviews and comments. My Burrito was fantastic!

We love Nenas!!! from the Service as soon as you walk into the door and the friendliness of the waiters and waitresses. Not to forget to mention the food. My go to plate is the Birria. Always a winner each time. My dad’s favorite is the Chile Rellenos special on a Friday. We look forward to our experiences here!

I arrived at noon with my coworkers at 12:10, and we sat down to order lunch. After placing our orders, we waited for an hour before asking if our food was ready, only to be told that they were behind schedule. I've visited this place multiple times without any issues until today, so I was disappointed to see other customers receive their meals before us, which I felt was racially biased because the customers who were served first were mostly Mexicans and some whites, even though we had ordered first. It's clear that the managers need to properly train their staff to improve service quality, as our experience today was poor quality of service. Because of this, I won't be returning again.

One of our favorite restaurants in Sac. We always order the torta de huevos, chile colorado, abondigas, carne en su jugo, and chicken tacos. Amazing. Great coffee too.

Walked in with coworkers for lunch at nenas at 12:10 and sat down to order. We placed our order and after waiting for one hour, we asked if our food was ready. They said that the food is running late. We waited 20 more mins and then ended up leaving the restaurant.
We always come here but today unfortunately was disappointing.

Pull off the interstate and come to this restaurant! Do it right now!! Haha. Just kidding. We came to Nenas because we were staying at the Best Western Nextdoor. We are so glad we did! The food was delicious. As everyone says the tortillas especially the flour or Harina tortillas were homemade, soft and fresh. They are made on the spot. The sauces on the chille relleno, the chile verde and the enchiladas were pure heaven. My hub measures Mexican food by the chile relleno and he reports it was the best he ever had. All the food was fresh and yummy and I can’t wait to come back. Too bad we live in San Diego…

I will comment that the salsa served with chips was bland. I wonder if someone forgot to season it? It was fresh, but needed seasoning. Maybe just a bad day for salsa.

In any case if I can, I will be back. I highly recommend Nenas.
