Wow... just wow. I've lived in New York and Austin, and I can honestly say the best sandwich I've ever had is right here at Obo in Sac. I used to make a weekly trip for their Hero sandwich, but since I recently switched to a no-meat diet, I wasn't sure what I'd order. Tried the veggie sandwich and oh my god, it's unreal. Crunchy, flavorful, warm, and melty perfection. I'm already craving it again. Way to go, Obo!

Food was good, but not the best. My pasta in the carbonara was undercooked, and the focaccia was just okay, though overpriced. One of the display cases housing entrées had a fly buzzing around inside, so I passed on anything from there. The service, however, was excellent—fast and very friendly—which is the main reason I gave 4 stars. The atmosphere was nice: bright, clean, and welcoming.

Parking, on the other hand, was horrible. The nearby lot had no available spaces, and although they validate for the UC parking lot, spaces there are also limited. Street parking is paid and also hard to find.

Rolled in for a bite and was instantly greeted with some of the best homemade lemonade I’ve had in ages. Perfectly tart, lightly sweet, and dangerously refreshing.

My girlfriend ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and gave it two thumbs up — said it was fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of filling. I went for the combo with fresh mozzarella, but there was a little mix-up and I ended up with the truffled mushroom pizza instead.

Now here’s where it gets good. I let the staff know, and within seven minutes flat, they brought out the correct order — no fuss, no attitude — and told me to keep the mushroom pizza too. Total win. And the kicker? That truffle mushroom pizza? Absolutely killer. I honestly liked it more than what I originally ordered. 😂

Top-notch service, fire food, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. This place turns a simple lunch into a story worth telling.

The small house creamy lemon Parmesan salad was good, the spaghetti and meatballs were flavourless with barely any sauce on it or cheese. The meatball pizza also didn’t taste right but the crust is thin and ok.. overall I won’t be ordering here again.

Love it! Great place

My wife and I went there for my birthday because we love Italian food and are new to the area. By other reviews and what the staff said that the rigatoni Bolognese was the best thing there I ordered that and my wife ordered the pizza 35 minutes after ordering our food we finally got our food. The pizza was absolutely horrible! The rigatoni Bolognese was an absolute joke the Pasta was severely undercooked and the sauce was a nightmare. Hamburger helper is 10 times better than what I ate. And they charged over $20 for a half a plate of pasta never again what a shame !

We came to this restaurant accidentally because it was in our way after a real estate showing tour. I came as a group of three. We ordered lemon and pesto pizza with beets and pistachio salad and drinks. We were all mesmerized with the taste and texture of the pizza. We then asked the waiter to ask the chef of the lemon cuts were preserved. The waiter came back saying the chef answered: No it was freshly cut lemons. Super good. Shout out to the chef. The beets salad was tasty.
The atmosphere was chill casual and had chic vibe. The decor is inviting with pizza paddle board hanging from the ceiling. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside. Thought it might seem nosy a bit, but it matched the vibe and we loved it.
The service was great. The servers were very friendly and smiling with light spirit. You can tell they enjoy their work here.
For next time, which will certainly happen soon, I’ll try the kale salad with chard walnuts.
