We had one of the best experiences at New Osaka. The food was wonderful presented, fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and checked on us often.

We wanted to give place a try. It turned out a horrible experience. I waited more than 35 minutes for my foods to come out. While my wife and kid had finish their. Not once the server check in with us to see how were doing. I end up canceled my order due to wait too long and bad service. Will never come back nor recommend any of my friends here.

Every pieces on the sushi roll is fresh and the sauce is amazing!! We ordered the sashimi platter, which has a lot of selection on fish and also the premium cut on fish will not disappoint!! All the fried tempura 🍤 is the best !!

Missing item from take out order and then the restaurant would not answer their phone. Sadly, since covid the service has been spotty.

Service was quick and friendly. The Server was helpful and timely with all our food. Our Sushi Roll tasted fresh and flavorful as well as our bento boxes. The Sushi Chef is a long term employee easily 20 years and is outstanding. This is my 2nd visit in a month and was just as great as the other visit. There are many sushi restaurants in Elk Grove and New ones every week but Osaka has been consistently excellent over the years. On Wed and Thursday they offer a dine in lunch special of buy 3 rolls and get a fourth one free.

I ordered to go. I got the chef sashimi, the spider roll, and the beef teriyaki.

The sashimi is below average. The roll is 95% rice. We couldn't chew the beef teriyaki long enough to be able to eat.

Our to-go order did not have any utensils or soy sauce.

I order chef sashimi special and the chef didn't even cut half of the salmon. He left the large portion of the fish uncut. I have never been to any sushi restaurant that make this kind of mistake. The the quality of the fish wasn't fresh...

Service was not good. We came during lunch hour and it was not busy but had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes for our food. We ordered 3 rolls, the lady never told her about 50% off roll if we ordered 4. Our total came up to 70 dollars, just 3 roll. The sign only says 50% off roll and never stated 4 or more roll!
First and last.

Nice sukiyaki! A little quiet and feels a little dated inside.
