Asked for the burger well. It was a gross burnt hockey puck. Before you all freak out about how to order a burger, well done is not burnt. It means cooked to160. The other food we ordered was cold. It was expensive. They were loudly packing up for the night to close the whole time we were there; it was over an hour before close. The TV had a screen saver on the whole time. Bad experience.

I was told about Pangaea by an acquaintance who gushed about the food and excellent draft selection. He was right! The burger was juicy and flame grilled just right. The wings were super crispy. The buffalo sauce was mild but you can add more chile sauce if you want. I had a sour ale which was outstanding. Doesn't hurt that Gunther's Ice Cream is right across the street for dessert afterwards.

Nice atmosphere. They had indoor & outdoor dining. Great beer selection. We split a burger & pretzel. It was the best burger I've had in a long time, and the pretzel was so soft and fluffy! Highly recommend 👌🏽

Got nachos to go. No salsa, no guacamole, no sour cream and no jalapenos...same thing happened when I ordered chicken from Bawk. Management needs to shore things up.

Pangaea is my forever restaurant. We've been coming here regularly since we moved to Sacramento and always have a great time. The food is always on point and the tap list is consistently unique and filled with hits. Our kids love the place and the staff is top notch. Can't recommend Pangaea enough.

This is a top 5 burger EASY!!!

The blend of chuck and brisket is the perfect combination of fattiness and depth of flavor. While the patty eats like butter, the vegetables deliver on the texture. Red onions are lightly sweet and texturally crisp. The tomato adds that great umami and moisture to an already juicy burger. I don’t know what they did to the pickles, but they are the best I’ve ever had! Super vinegar forward, acidic, and balanced the sandwich out nicely. Also, the brioche bun had a definite sweetness that played off of the rich burger nicely.

The fries are okay but the burger is so good I don’t care.

Pangaea Bier Cafe is serving up one of the best burgers in the state and I am not exaggerating.

Possibly the best burger I’ve ever had. Seriously. Juicy, everything fresh and high-quality, including veggies, sauce, cheese, and fresh toasted bun. I realized when I got there that they only had one size, which was a 1/2 lb for a pricey $21. I got it anyway because it looked so good! Turned out to be a Turned out to be an excellent decision. Service was a bit surly, but fast.
