Petra is good it's just too expensive now. A beef lamb gyro is over $18 on Uber eats when ordering ahead for pick up. That's just too much for a sandwich for lunch. No drink, no side.

Our favorite Greek restaurant! We drive 45 mins to come here for special occasions. Food is excellent and well seasoned. I got the chicken souvlaki plate with full side salad and hummus. My husband got the gyro plate with fries and tzatziki sauce. This place never disappoints! Their fry sauce that they have near the soda machine station is delicious as well.

I went with the Petra Special Plate. While the portions are big the food was just ok. The chicken and beef were pre-cooked and just warmed up so it was cold and sorta chewy. The fries were really oily and soggy. The Greek salad was 90% large tomato chunks. Overall just ok.

If you're looking for Greek food in Sacramento, look no further than Petra Greek. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Plate and Grilled Halloumi. The food is absolutely delicious, with well-seasoned meats and fresh, flavorful ingredients. I especially appreciated that the chicken was moist and not dry, as is often the case. The staff is friendly and interior vibes are chill.
I highly recommend Petra Greek to anyone looking for a great Greek meal.

The gyro I had was quite tasty and my aunt enjoyed her plate as well. The staff was also kind enough to let my aunt and me catch up for 3 hours! (We rarely see each other as we live in different parts of the state and there were open tables the whole time we were there.) While I will grant them the fact that the World Series was on (and heated!), I was a little disappointed at the state of the tables. All of the open tables were dirty. My aunt and I have no problem cleaning, so we cleared the table we chose, but it was right in the peripheral of the staff watching the game. It wasn't until the game ended that the tables finally got cleared and cleaned. I will also note that there is no bussing station for customers so there is no indication that customers are meant to bus their own tables.
