Pizza is absolutely phenomenal. We had the pesto sun dried tomato and the mushroom cheese, both were delicious. We savored each bite till the very end. The owner is a 10/10 gem of a human, which made it even better. A definite can’t-miss!

Amazing food. Everyone in there were very caring and very friendly. It feels like an actual pizza spot when walking in. The pizza slices are not greasy, are very crisp, and very delicious. While there, our vehicle was slammed into by a drunk driver. The owner, a very sweet lady, came out and handed us waters and apple juice. All the workers checked up on us and made us feel safe and secured. None of them left and stayed late to make sure we got into vehicles safely. Next time I come back up town, I'm definitely stopping by again.

Phenomenal pizza! We have been all over Europe including many cities in France and Italy and this beat them all! We were very pleasantly surprised by both the taste and quality of the food and the wonderful company provided by the staff. All around a great business to support. We will be back!

Let me start by acknowledging that Sacramento is NOT a pizza town. There are, by my count, exactly 3 good pizza places in a city of almost 500,000 people. However, all of those places are relatively new additions to the scene, so there is hope! Now, regarding Pieces Pizza, I first remember stumbling into this hole in the wall about 25 years ago. At that time I was pleasantly surprised by the slices. It was about as close as I had tasted to a New York style pie. Well, fast forward 25 years, I have moved to the suburbs, had a kid and gave up my partying lifestyle. That's important because Pieces business model is predicated on stumbling drunk partiers in need of a quick bite of food. I found myself in that condition last Friday night, and decided to stop in for a slice. I was shocked to see that they were charging $8.00 (without tax or tip) for a slice of cheese pizza. It was a regular size slice, about the size of a Costco slice. I was a bit inebriated, but not so drunk as to pay that kind of money for a slice of pizza. For comparison, the best pizza in Sacramento, a place called Pizza Supreme Being, changes $4.50 for the same size slice, and it is a VASTLY superior product. So good luck to Pieces, here's hoping you last another 30 years serving up mediocre slices to drunken idiots willing to pay you what amounts to $64.00 for a whole pizza. I just know I will never be one of them!

I seriously love this place, you gotta get the pesto and chipotle ranch on the side! they ALWAYS ask me for garlic added on which i always say yes plsss. Ive been coming here since i was 8. I'm 25 now and continue to come here, i've gotten to know the staff and owner Jackie. Service is incredibly welcoming and humble, the vibes are sick af. People who say it isn't great are like psychopaths! sorry not sorry. We purposely overate it was too good
