Saturday UFC Fight night (300) so you already know we had to stop by Pitch & Fiddle! If you want a sports bar that hosts PPV (Pay-Per-View) for FREE, yes you heard me, FREE, this is the place for you. Albeit, it's a relatively small bar so if you can come a bit early before the Main Card started, (usually around 7pm) you're solid. The ambiance is your typical sports bar-- casual, rowdy, fun. If we're talking about food, this place has tasty food. Their wings are delicious and full of flavor (not overdrenched in sauce of super salty). My personal favorites are the lemon pepper and sweet buffalo. The food here is decently priced (around $10-20 tops) with a great portions. Annie was our server and she did an incredible job being attentive to our needs-- always making sure we had waters filled and napkins. The service was quick despite having a packed restaurant, but the presentation was lacking.

Your classic sports bar done right. Pitch & Fiddle was the perfect place for my friend and I to watch the second round of March Madness. They had plenty of screens along the bar and on the opposite side as well. They had the volume up pretty loudly for one of the games too. Their menu is pretty simple and classic. We went with their garlic parm wings and their fiddle fries. Both were big portions and yummy. I had their mule and my friend grabbed a beer. Service was nice and fast, even with the bar full. We had a typical night at the sports bar and it didn't break our bank!

Loved the ambiance. Divya, but spacious. Lots of screens, great place to watch games. The buffalo wings were very good and fiddler fries were, surprisingly even better. Definitely recommend. Only downside was food took a little long to come out.

I've been coming to this pub since turning 21; it has great food and drinks, and the service is always ideal! On the night of March 16, a couple of buddies and I wanted to get our night started by having a few beers here. Before even taking a seat, I got my driver's license snapped in half because "it was fake," the egotistic bouncer said. Keep in mind I'm 24, and I get that I may look young, but come on, bending the crap out of it is no way to validate if it is fake or real. Last time I checked, that's vandalism and considered a CRIMINAL OFFENSE. I then called the Sac Sheriffs department, and obviously, they verified it was real. They talked to the bouncer and whatnot. Personally, I don't care about paying for a new ID; that's chump change. The matter of fact is, the bouncer had a big tough guy attitude the whole time until he noticed I called the Sheriffs; then it quickly changed. I hope they change up the way they validate IDs and get with the program and stop checking them like it's the 1990s. Just the weekend before, I spent about $200 having pitchers with my buddies and not one issue. I obviously won't ever be returning to Pitch after that.

In a nutshell - we were really excited to find an Irish pub in the area but the 45 minute wait for French fries with buffalo sauce quickly soured our excitement. Our waitress was inattentive and dismissive to the fact that our initial order for the fiddle fries that we placed within 5 minutes of being there had taken longer than 30 minutes to come out, blaming the 'large number of tickets that had come in before us' where we could clearly see that only one other table had ordered food. We then finally received the fries after 45 minutes (sub par at best) and then continued waiting for our actual order. After waiting an hour and a half we finally decided this was ridiculous and had to call the server to our table to cancel our order. She then proceeded to cancel the order without offering any kind of sincere apology or explanation. The lack of customer service and care was astonishing especially when there wasn't even an attempt to remove one thing from the bill to try and amend the horrible service received. Overall disappointed and unimpressed by the food, service, and experience.

We were very excited to try Pitch and Fiddle. The food looked great, and who doesn't love an Irish Bar. But unfortunately we ended up leaving an hour and a half after being seated, with just a few drinks ordered, and no lunch. There were very few people when we walked in - it was maybe moderately busy. We ordered the fiddle fries, a burger, tacos and sliders. After 45 minutes our fries were finally brought out. I won't go into the quality, except to say that I could have microwaved the same thing in 5 minutes. The more concerning thing was our waitresses total and complete lack of concern. After 30 minutes we politely checked on the status of our order. She was immediately defensive and rude, her attitude totally changed, and gave a vague response about there being a bunch of checks before ours. We thanked her and continued to wait, without saying another word. As I mentioned the fries were finally brought out, no entrees, and just a mention from the waitress that our other food was still "cooking". We finished the fries, and after waiting another half hour, still no food - and no visits from the waitress. Not even to check on us, or apologize for what now was an hour and a half wait. We eventually waved her down, and asked if we could just pay. We had another commitment to get to and couldn't afford to wait any longer. She continued to be dismissive and said it was no problem to "cancel" our order. So somehow our food still hadn't been started, even though we ordered it over an hour and a half earlier. Her apology was tepid at best, and nothing about hoping we had a better experience next time. We will not be returning. If you're just looking for drinks I'm sure it's fine. The atmosphere is great. But if you're expecting impressive fries, friendly service, or reasonable food delivery times, I'd look to one of the many other pubs in the area.

unsure of how this place has 4.1 stars when i see similar customers have the same experience as we did. it took 45 minutes for microwave fries to come out. an hour and a half we waited and ended up canceling our food order because we waited so long. our waitress was very dismissive and had a bit of a cold attitude. she didn't check on us often. she said "the kitchen had so many tickets" but noticed that the place not crowded at all and many tables got their orders and left. we thought it was a great spot for st. patrick's day, we even asked about any specials (should show you we are interested customers). will not be coming again.

We started something new in 2024 and that is, we try a new restaurant every Saturday for lunch. We felt we needed to branch out to discover more and more of the fabulous food scene in Sacramento. Some spots we will return to, some we won't . I will say, Pitch and Fiddle is one of those places we will return to time and time and time again! The menu is studded with wonderful pub food fare with an Irish twist! Make no mistake, this is a pub and there are cocktails a'plenty. But there are also delicious Fiddle Fries, Irish Sliders and Bigass Shrimp Tacos! Yes, please! Truly crave-able.
