Took my fiance here for our anniversary dinner. Service was exceptional and a great overall experience. Will definitely be dining here again in the near future.
Very disappointed with the food. Service was ok. Asparagus app extremely salty. Burrata was ok. Citrus salad was just a bunch of citrus drowning in dressing. Tasted like an entire sour grapefruit in a bowl. Out of 3 people it just failed us all. Prelude salad was very good. Beef tar tar was ok it was served with a cold tough naan. Yuk. The capellini was so bland and had peas fit only for hens it wasn't worth eating. Total waste. Risotto was decent. Ricotta toast was ok. Probably the best item. The lavender earl grey drink was a 10. Goat cheese gelato a 10. Peach sorbet was oddly served with grocery store chocolate chip cookies. Who doesn't want peach gelato and generic choc chip cookies. SMH. It was 3 female friends out for dinner. Very disappointed. Would not rerun or recommend. I had high hopes for this place, but it was less than special.
Prelude is beautiful. We went for a 30th birthday and the food was outstanding. Such beautiful atmosphere as well. The staff were so welcoming, kind, and professional. Will definitely be going back!
Devon was a wonderful server who created an inviting and warm experience. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. The meal was delicious and the flavors were beautifully balanced. The wine list was exceptional! I always appreciate a list that has Flowers PN on it. (Wink) Thank you for making my best friends bday dinner memorable!
Over all our experience with the staff was delightful, everyone was so attentive and friendly. The food was almost perfect, I ordered my steak medium and received it at medium well. We will definitely be going back.
The food was excellent. The service was friendly and professional. A good wine selection with reasonably priced bottles available. For dinner - the pork chop and the Risotto were amazing.
Citrus salad = too sour with the lemons Scallops = rock found in food Steak tar tar = pita bread stale and cold Cabinets = good but wrong choice of pasta
What a wonderful restaurant. I knew nothing about restaurants in Sacramento. We just picked this one out as the name sounded interesting. What a winner. The food and wine was delicious. The wait staff was fantastic. And great music softly in the background made for a perfect lowkey atmosphere.
Had dinner here on 1-15-25 party of 3. Very good service. Espresso martinis were great! Started with artisan bread and Brussel sprouts. It was a little weird to have the pancetta on the side vs mixed into the dish but everyone agreed we really liked them. Then we had Dungeness crab arrabiata, duck fat seared scallops and the short rib. Favorite dish was the short rib! The arrabiata had a good variety of seafood but I wasn’t a huge fan of the squid ink tonarelli. The scallops we tasty just tiny and too few, so that was the least liked dish. Finished off with a flourless chocolate cake that was good. Next time we want the brie appetizer! I’d dine here again but it hasn’t moved into my top 10. We each had a cocktail to start and shared a modest bottle of Pinot. Out the door $400.
Amazing ambience, great food and staff.

My spouse and I went to Prelude for NYE dinner and had an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal, the wine list was well curated, and the service was wonderful. My spouse is gluten free and had plenty of options to choose from.
The restaurant was busy and had a nice, quiet background level of noise that made conversation easy.
Even though I don't live in Sacramento I've already made plans to return.
Dietary restrictions: My spouse is gluten free and had multiple options to choose from with each course

I had the beet salad (a little too much vinegar in the dressing), my husband had the seasonal squash soup- delicious. We split the steak & au gratin potatoes. Ashley, our waitress split the meal for us as shown in the pic.
We will be back! Everything was amazing!
