The food here is delicious and plentiful. I pick up food to go for my brother and me and we always make more than one meal out of it. The staff is cheerful, attentive, and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always excellent. Eat here on every visit to Sacramento. Traditional communal presentation and serving on single platter.

Top notch. We tried several veggie options and were both completely satisfied. The veggie appetizers were fabulous. The ethiopian lager was very good. The hot tea was subtle and delicious.

This is probably the best Ethiopian restaurant in Sacramento, though admittedly, I haven't been to any others.

So good! I got their combo A and a hibiscus drink. It was all delicious with amazing spices. The servings were huge and for a really great price.

Queen Sheba is one of Sacramento’s staples, and after finally visiting, I can see why people rave about it. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the smell of spices as soon as you walk in is intoxicating. I ordered the vegan buffet, and it was incredible. Dish after dish of colorful stews, lentils, greens, and vegetables were served alongside soft, tangy injera bread that tied everything together. Eating with my hands, scooping up bites with injera, made the meal feel communal and authentic. Each dish had a different profile - some spicy, some tangy, some earthy - and together, it was a feast of flavor. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain what was on the buffet, which made it even more enjoyable. I left feeling full but not weighed down, which speaks to how nourishing the food was. Queen Sheba doesn’t just feed you; it gives you an experience that feels cultural, social, and completely delicious. It’s the kind of place you want to return to often, whether with friends or family, to share in the joy of the food.

Restaurantji Recommends
The enjera feels like a plastic, too sour unlike the other restaurants. It is not the original enjera. The food was okay, but it needs to be more like its origin. There are not many restaurants at Sacramento so i understand why ppl keep coming here. The prices are very expensive comparing to others.

My dad and I are the adventurous eaters in the family, so we make it a point that when we go out to eat just the two of us, to try something new. We went here some time last year after a convention to try Ethiopian food for the first time. And omg it was amazing. I'm vegan and have a health condition that effects my digestive system so I sometimes find it difficult to find things that agree with me. The menu has a vegan and vegetarian selection as well as information on some of the different elements of Ethiopian food that people may be unfamiliar with.
My dad is the exact opposite in that he can and will eat anything at least once. He is also very indecisive and will ask the waitress what she suggests. He got a tasting platter with I think 4 different entree items and I got the potatoes and carrots. We both got our entrees with the injeta option. It was absolutely delicious!!! I'm so glad we went there.
I don't go to sac often but when I do, this place is always top of my list to get food. The portions are quite large as it is usually a family style meal (my dad and I couldn't do that bc of my dietary restrictions) and leftovers reheat well.
I got the takeout option this past time and the portion I got will easily be 4 meals for me. I also got the mango drink and as a certified mango lover, I recommend. I've literally been telling all my friends to try Ethiopian food bc it's become one of my go tos.
(The photo is the only one I have from after we finished starting the salad that my dad took bc I can't eat raw veggies)

This is by far one of my favorite meals!! It’s so satisfying and absolutely delicious, such good food and friendly staff. I don’t eat meat so it can be hard to find fulfilling meals, and the Veggie Combo plate is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!!

I tried this place for the first time and it was absolutely exquisite. I originally wasn't sure what to get but decided to just ask what they recommended and they hooked it up. I got some chicken and some lamb(?), and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb was absolutely exquisite and had some peppers in them. The spice was absolutely perfect. The chicken was pretty good but I fell for the lamb I'm not gonna lie. I tried it with the bread and the bread has a weird taste but it grew on me towards the end of the meal. I wanna try their rice with it next time hopefully.
One thing I didn't like a bit was that they forgot to close one of the sites of the container so a good chunk of the sauce spilled in the bag ): .
But none the less, the food was delicious and I like Ethiopian food. I'll definetely come back here to try something new and try the rice. The samosa's also looked really good on someone else's plate so I gots to try those as well.
Would definetely come back and recommend you to try this place (or Ethiopian food in general).
