Located in Old Town area of Sac.
I highly recommend the fish taco plate. Two very large fish tacos. 13.99 plus taxes. ...outside eatery.
Our ALL TIME favorite A+
Nice location and pleasant environment with lots of space to sit back and relax. Plenty to do in the area including the Railway Museum and the riverfront. Great Wild West high street feel in the area.
From a food perspective it’s ok, not awesome but not bad. The fish and chips could be less oily and the batter less thick but it definitely won’t break the bank and is good experience.
Oof! Don't like the fish they use for their fish and chips. Don't know if it's swai fish. I like cod as the fish and chip.
Clam chowder was overly loaded with potatoes!
This place has been great for so many years. Food is delicious and at a fair price.
Didn't like the tartar sauce but food was hot fresh and in a prime location!
Customer service was great food quality A+ in my opinion great smile service
Best fish and chips around. They have a nice chowder in a bread bowl too. Gets crowded on the weekends hobos can be annoying sometimes.
My family came here and ordered their: fish / jumbo shrimp / chips, chicken nuggets / fries, and the clam chowder.
The fish is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! The clam chowder actually has some clams! The chicken nuggets however are really subpar. It's worst than any crispy chicken I can buy at Costco and make with my air fryer. My daughter didn't even want to finish them! I was that bad. It tasted like fried cardboard. Minus one star for that! Stick to their fish, shrimp, and chips and clam chowder!
It's outdoor seating and it's quite limited in number of tables. I was lucky to find a table. By the time I was leaving, a big group came in and a few were hovering for my table.
Service is as expected and the wait is okay. I think prices are bit high for an outdoor over the counter, fast casual restaurant.

I've been here hundreds of times. Always great food, nice freshly painted outdoor tables, quick service even when there is a line. Right next to the Delta King. Nice breezes flow through the back patio area.
This was our first time coming to this location. What caught our attention was the smell of the fries and fish. The lady who took our order was extremely sweet and patient with us placing our order.
I got the burger with only sauce, and lettuce and it was amazing!! It tasted like Foster freeze a small hometown memory that it rbouht memories for us.
My hubby got fish and chips and wow! It was very good!
And fyi to everyone. They give you so many fries so make sure to ask for ketchup and extra napkins. Will be coming back.
Great food. Breading was light and the fries were good. Had the chicken strips and fish tacos. Both were excellent. Very generous with the portions.
We were here on Saturday at 2PM (mid-April of 2025). It was pretty crowded. We got 2 fish and chips, 1 added sauce, and a bottle of coke, for $37 including tax. Fish is AMAZINGLY good- thin batter and soft fish inside. With some lemon on it, it was very yummy. Fries were good too, although it could be crispier to my taste. Amount of food is pretty good as well, my husband had some of my fries and he felt fairly full. The kick is the sauce. I think they said it’s house-made tartar sauce (dairy free confirmed by my lactose intolerant husband), and it is so fresh and so light. They have outdoor seating area (covered patio) like all the other restaurants at old sac, so it can be really loud time to time- not their fault, but just be aware. People who work here were super friendly and nice despite being busy. Public restroom available with soap and cold water nearby. Would def come back whenever we visit Old Sac.
Fish was great, clam chowder was good, and fries were ok. Didn’t give us any napkins
