I fell in love with this restaurant 20 years ago as a young medical assistant. Today I drove by and couldn't believe it, you guys are still there!!! Best rice in beans, mix a little red and green sauce in (perfection!) 20 years later and I'm still a huge fan of the chicken tacos! Thank you for the delicious food every time!

There are some really hard-working people who try to make Northgate a more favorable place to make a living. Unfortunately this place is in an undesirable place to order food. I wanted to enjoy a decent burrito, but the smell of urine and homeless took my hunger away very quickly. The restaurant requires a lot of attention, or you might get robbed or jacked. Pay attention to your surroundings. The food is decent but not worth risky characters that lurk nearby. You've been warned.

Been eating here since high school ! My mom always brought it to me for lunch. I love the food and the quality of it ! They never let me down and the people there are very nice and friendly!! This is the spot !!!

I didn't want to give this review but I think they need to check their ingredients. We ordered 3 burritos and a quesadilla. The pico tasted kind of off but I wasn't sure and continued to eat it. We all got sick. Has gastrointestinal issues for a couple of days. I love burritos but now I can't think of burritos without feeling nauseous.Also, the chicken was really, really dry. It's like you cook chicken breast and lay it out for a few days dry. You can still taste the dryness even if you submerge it in salsa. But also don't, bc I think the salsa is what made us sick.

Romona's Comida Mexicana serves my favorite nacho's that I've tried in the area! I've only ordered on DoorDash, but every time it's come hot and fresh tasting. I've also tried their orchata which was perfectly delicious, not too sweet and just the right amount of cinnamon. Their chicken nacho's are made with deliciously tender and flavorful shredded chicken, refried beans, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Their chips are plentiful, taste homemade, have a wonderful crunch still, and are perfectly salted. The ratio of toppings to chips is generous; you can certainly get a good tasty bite with every chip and might even have some chicken and other toppings left over towards the end. The only thing I'd change if I could is their hours - they aren't open on Sunday's and seem to close early on weekday's as well.

Growing up in Del Paso Heights and throughout Norther Sacramento this was something that I literally grew up on and it seemed like a gift when my mother got it for me & my siblings. I'd recommend any of their breakfast burritos on any given day of the week. Very low and unbeatable prices.
