Root of Happiness Kava Bar | Midtown

Honestly feel discriminated, so I went in today and i was refused to be served and there is not a solid reason on why. I would love to talk to a higher up manager and its all on camera. About a week ago i got there at 12:57 i got my kava and i asked a simple question “would you guys have a charger so i could turn on my phone to unlock my car” the guy there word for word said “WTF IS TAKING SO LONG” exactly at 1:02 and most definitely i did response back by saying everytime i come here it looks like you have a personal vendetta against me or something.

We can look at the footage to and you can see me walking out the door and turn back and ask the girl while pointing at my phone asking if i could use a charger

I popped in for a quick break and per usual enjoyed a greeting, happy atmosphere and fabulous drink with fresh pineapple.

I am really not a review type of guy because I think it’s petty for the owner don’t want anything to affect the business. They did not serve me kava when they did yesterday and don’t refused be I feel a little discriminated you can check cameras as well I would love to talk to someone high up with proof I can prove it where they just don’t want serve me I don’t know if it’s bcz of my culture.

5 for atmosphere vibe is cool and it’s a nice venue but the OG Davis location is my fav and does the drinks and music right along w ambience.
The same drink I get there didn’t make the same when I got it here - red Bali tea so I don’t think our drinks were made right which was a bummer

Last weekend was fun karaoke night was crazy. Can’t wait for another karaoke night this place always got something going on ? to the staff at this location

Came in on karaoke ? ? night and it was Lit!!!! The walk in intro with fog light was dope. Me and my gals had a blast, such a fun night of kava and singing. It's always a blast and the staff are always so friendly. Can't wait for the next karaoke night.

<3 luv this place <3 Everyone here is super calm and friendly. Also, the "kavatenders," as they are known, hosted a karaoke night recently. It was a big success. Many people came just to sing or watch their friends sing. 10/10 I would attend again.

I’ve gone to the Rancho and Davis location for years but this one really stands out to me. I often find myself looking at the spray painted art on their walls, the pink neon “order here” sign, brick walls and glass panels that illuminate the store day and night. I always wanted a location closer to me for convenience but it truly has so much more to offer. I definitely recommend this place for the drinks, live events and for hanging out in a small group. Staff is great, 10/10

Parking: Parking directly in front of the building during the day might be sparse due to people who work in surrounding buildings, or during busy events at night but even then there’s always parking just a very short walk away from the building. plenty of street parking to be had here.

This was my first time having an experience like this and it was fantastic ? Vanessa was so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. If I loves closer I would absolutely make this part of my normal routine. Thank you thank you!

Great experience here at Root of Happiness, I was helped by the amazing P, she had excellent customer service and a great personality! I’ll definitely be here again.

Come here once a week at times and the ambiance and staff make it so much fun. Always space to sit and just enjoy myself.

Parking: Park directly across from the building if those spaces run out you can park up or down from the root of happiness
