They serve dangerously hot food. The first bite I took burnt my fingers and lips. The bartender didn’t care made a joke about it and gave us stickers. Be careful especially if you have kids.

The service at the bar was great. I was given a lot of great suggestions. I went with the burger and garlic fries. They were delicious!! I even tried a delicious pineapple cedar. It's quiet in the after but a great scene.

I ordered water from the bar so I clearly wasn't drinking Some customers walked out of a mostly empty restaurant for lack of serviceI waited for 10 minutes for my burger in this same restaurant. Lots of TVs so good sports vibe. But I'd die of thirst if I did drink. Gasto burger was ok. Fries were but piping hot. Just service was not good. I'll visit their other locations

Gastrobar has a nice building and that's about it from my experience. The food is presented as higher class food but was Very underwhelming. The pizza, Everything just slid off as soon as I lifted up a slice. I ordered some fries that had mozzarella and the cheese wasn't even melted. Customer service kind of sucks. My waiter was kind but was busy taking orders. I'm assuming her supervisor (Guy w/ rose tattoo on hand) was somewhat oblivious or ready to clock out. He saw me eating my fries with my hands and didn't offer me a napkin or fork so I got up and grabbed it myself. The restaurant wasn't too busy or anything either. Beer might have been good but I just didn't want to stay around any longer to try. Oh well.

The pizza is delicious. Please keep in mind that they make the pizza fresh, therefore like any other fresh pizza it takes approximately 20 minutes, if the restaurant is busy it takes longer, sometimes we complain about how late they give us our food but we have to have Keep in mind that they have other orders and that in order not to have a burnt or raw pizza, you have to be patient. The staff is very friendly and the terrace is incredible.

I'll be honest, I come for the burgers. Their burgers here are some of my favorite in sac. I do live right around the corner, so this place is my go-to! If you like beer, get excited. They have so much to choose from its crazy. The staff are always quick and helpful. Even when packed busy, they will still be friendly. Cooks, I don't know what you're doing back there, but keep it up! Anytime a friend visits and says burger sounds good, I take them here and have never been disappointed. It's always been clean every time I've visited. Great place to watch a game and eat good food.

The original place we intended to eat at was closed, so a quick Yelp search showed Midtown Gastro Pub was open and just around the corner. Since it was a Tuesday night, parking wasn't much of an issue but they do have a parking lot to the right of the building should there be no street parking. When we walked in, it was pretty empty. Literally only 5 people and that's including the bartender and cook! Again, kinda expected since it was late on a random Tuesday. We walked up to the bar and they had the menus on the counter so we grabbed some and seated ourselves. After a few minutes, the bartender came to our table with waters and took our order. I had the fish and chips, my husband had the tomato soup with grilled cheese and we also got their jalapeño poppers. Fish and chips were meh, just ok. You'd think they have a beer batter but it was more like bread crumbs. Fish is also tilapia, so a cheap fish at a fairly steep price. My husband did enjoy his tomato soup though. The jalapeño poppers were decent but I had asked for blue cheese instead of ranch and he still brought ranch. Our friend ordered a Strawberry vodka with soda water and he was given a vodka cranberry. Not even remotely close to what he ordered. Overall service was ok, he was the only one tending bar and working the tables. Inside is fairly large, there is a downstairs that was blocked off where all the brewery tanks and equipment are. The main level has a large open bar with seating all around and pub style tables along the walls. Upstairs is their rooftop bar, unfortunately it was closed off the night we came but may be worth another visit to check it out. Overall food ok, nothing exceptional. Menu is a little lacking as well. Between the messed up drink, no blue cheese and minimal follow up, service was just ok as well. Would we be back for late night eats, probably not but I'd come back to try out the rooftop area.

I had such a fun, first-time visit at Midtown Gastro Bar. Met up with some friends for some drinks and small bites. They have a dog-friendly outdoor front patio (huge-plus) and they have an even bigger roof-top with comfy cabana-like couches plus a full bar upstairs. The DJ spinning on the Friday night I visited was great. He had the crowd dancing and having fun! The main floor is nice too. When you enter, you are greeted with high ceilings and a big open bar that's adjacent to the kitchen. They have multiple big screen TVs throughout the walls, which makes this spot great for watching sports especially for those Sunday Football games. I think I found my go to place for my Sunday Fundays!!! This place is very underrated and deserves more than its current 3 star rating. Come check out Midtown Gastro Bar, such a fun environment!
Tell me how it took 10+ minutes to get an order in. Then 35+ more minutes to get a mediocre pizza. Smh.

If you like FRESH brewed beer, this place is awesome. Their Tap Menu they have posted online does not match what's actually on tap. I love Vienna Lagers and saw that they had a Vienna Munchner (IPA) posted on their online tap list.... unfortunately it was not available. But don't worry, they had plenty of varieties to choose from! I had the "Strawberry Mango Stein Dry Fruited Blonde" and the "Set Phatos to Stun IPA"...loved them both! I think my bartender was excited about the beer as I was, which I enjoy. I travel a lot and sharing a beer with someone who is as excited to serve it as I am to drink it is always a joy.

Let’s start with what’s going right here. The food was excellent and the beer was delicious and super cold. Also, the servers are attentive and efficient. That’s where the compliments end. First, they have a HUGE bar but the design makes it difficult to serve the front of the house. I watched our beers sit poured just a couple feet from me sit because someone had to make the long journey around the back of the bar to get to us.Here’s my real complaint. I picked this place because we were meeting the band who was playing in the venue next door. I called a day in advance to confirm the place had AC as it would be 110°. We arrived and there was no difference from outside. Now, it’s a huge location with a downstairs and rooftop. So, they said the AC just wasn’t strong enough to contend with the heat. But it was truly uncomfortable for everyone. And 100+ temps are not abnormal for Sac. Seems like they just don’t have AC powerful enough. Or it’s too expensive to run.They other huge problem we had is they just forgot one of our orders. Our table of 8 people were served at different times and one poor guy didn’t get his food till the rest of the band left. He had 5 mins to eat and get on stage. It was all in all a disappointing experience.
