Second time coming here, and it was just as good as I remember. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty. The asthetic they are trying to go for is a hit and it makes this place feel like an elevated and romantic spot for a date night or a nice lunch.

The food was great here. I had the banh mi chao last time, but I wanted to try their banh canh cua. When I got the pot, it felt like a good size, and I thought I could finish it all. The noodles was so good, but it was just so much food that I couldn’t finish it all. I was happy I got to take it home. It felt like the dish kept replenishing and I found more shrimp and more seafood at the bottom. 10/10 dish I would order again and recommend it.

Another star of the visit was the coconut coffee. It should be a more popular Vietnamese coffee drink as opposed to the traditional milk coffee. Worth the extra cost for the coconut coffee!

I will always try to visit here if I am driving through Sacramento. Saigon Oi is a one of a kind.

Parking: Parking is tight and has a lot of business in the plaza.

Review for Saigon Oi

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saigon Oi, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The service was exceptional; our server was attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt welcomed throughout our visit.

The food came out incredibly fast, and it was served hot and bursting with flavor. I ordered the Bun Mam, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and satisfying. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend coming right when they open, as the restaurant can get quite packed, especially on weekends.

Seating is ample, which is a plus, but keep in mind that parking can be a bit of a challenge since they share a plaza with several other businesses. Despite this minor inconvenience, the food and service are well worth it!

I brought a client from San Jose, known for its amazing food scene, and she was genuinely impressed by the quality and taste of the dishes at Saigon Oi. It's definitely a hidden gem that deserves attention, especially on weekends when they offer some unique social dishes.

Overall, I highly recommend Saigon Oi to anyone in the area or visiting from out of town. They have definitely earned a 5-star rating from me!

Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult because they do have many shops in this plaza. It’s not that you won’t find parking, it might just take you a while

Kid-friendliness: They are kids friendly here so don’t feel embarrassed to bring your entire family

The pate tastes odd, and the banh mi is hard with ridges hurting the top of my mouth.

Wish this place opened later… but the food is great. It’s a bit more expensive compared to other places near the area but the quality of the food is worth it. The chicken is a bit dry so I probably won’t order that again but the mini pancakes are fantastic.

Came here 11/14/24. Had the Crab Meat Soup and Fish Sauce Wings. Really enjoyed the crispy wings. Crab Meat soup was alright. Had to constantly pick out inedible pieces of what appears to be fish bones/crab shell or egg shell.

My father who is an old man waiting for his to-go order and he waited almost an hour but they only served the customers after him and they said they gave priority to the ones came after him at the table. Complained to BBB and others.

Tried their Saturday Special ~ mì gõ ~ it was delicious. Egg noodle is a bit too soft (imagine soaking instant noodle for 10 mins) but soup flavor and pork meat save the entire dish.
Overall, great service and great atmosphere.

Tasty, authentic Vietnamese food.
Always crowded with a long waiting list, but that list tends to move fast. I like their waitlist system (yelp). You go in, enter your name and phone number on the tablet, and you'll get a text showing your position in queue and estimated wait time.

The two times I've been here, they didn't serve banh xeo despite it being on the menu. Could be a weekend thing.

The banh mi chao and banh khot were delicious

I came here for lunch with a co-worker on a Friday (8/23/24) afternoon. Never been here before so my first.

The dining area of Saigon Oi is neat, well put together, and clean. We were able to get a table without having to wait. The menu is pretty simple with about 20 items or so to choose from.

Our server was friendly and hospitable. Our food arrived within 15 minutes upon ordering hot from the kitchen. The presentation of the dishes look great!

I had ordered the half chicken and it turned out very good. It was cooked perfectly and the skin was crispy to the bite. It was very tasty. The side of rice was drier than I had expected and was okay. We had also ordered the Vietnamese pancakes that also turned out very good. We also got orders of Vietnamese coffee that was also very delicious. Portions were very

Our total for lunch came out to be about $75 with tax and tip which included two coffees, two meals, and an appetizer.

Here’s how Saigon Oi scored:

Service 5/5. Food 4.5/5. Atmosphere 5/5. Value to price ratio 4/5. Overall experience 4.5/5.

My experience at Saigon Oi was good. Nearly everything was perfect for a lunch outing on a Friday afternoon. Most everything turned out fine except for my rice which was ok. Portion size were acceptable and will leave you feeling full. We had leftovers to take home. However, the price is higher than expected for a lunch outing; So expect to pay more for lunch here than compared to other options in the same center.

The bread with pork rinds has greatly decreased in quality, very little meat and little onion.
