Iconic specialty coffee. One of the best cafes in California. Pour over’s on point; funky, juicy, sweet, I will forever be coming back here. Great spro as well.

Treat yourself to some incredible coffee here. Order a pour-over and relax for a few minutes (because they take a little time to make). Enjoy the ambiance or chat with the staff there about coffee if it's not too busy. Overall, this has got to be the experience I've had with coffee in Sacramento. Cheers, Scorpio.

Awesome menu with cozy drinks and a unique selection of breakfast/brunch items. The avacado toast was really tasty and had a nice hint of citrus to it, though it was a bit pricy

Best light-to-mid-roast coffees in Sacramento. They have a rotating menu of coffee from interesting, often international coffee roasters.

Their cookies also have a reputation for being the best in the city.

My favorite in sac

Quite warm inside but whatever. Coffee was great but I wished that the whole menu was visible - I didn’t know that they serve cortado and flat white - I only saw the three signature drinks and some teas. Don’t assume that everyone knows what you’re offering

I would go back to try the other drinks tho

Snobby. It’s great if you’re a yuppie.

I feel like I just wasted $18.... I'm driving through, so I don't have time to go back. Both of our drinks taste off. Almost soapy and burnt. We're pouring them out and picking up coffee from somewhere else.

Music was good and the person who took our order was nice.

Don't even think about it, come here immediately. Get the mushroom toast, whatever coffee you like, you'll be blown away.

Scorpio in Midtown is definitely a cool spot, but it comes with some trade-offs. I’d tried to go a couple of times before and walked away because of the long line both inside and out. Third time was the charm. We happened to pass by on a Monday, no line, and grabbed the last table outside.

The outdoor seating was honestly the biggest downside. The table looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in a while, and the planter next to us had food scraps and trash in it, which attracted a lot of flies. Sitting there wasn’t the most comfortable experience. Inside, the ordering area feels cramped and chaotic. The line would flow better if it ran in another direction, and given how busy they are, they really need at least two cashiers.

That said, the food and coffee were excellent. We ordered the avocado toast, pumpkin spice latte, mushroom bread, and oatmeal. everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The vibe overall is fun and modern, though the staff isn’t particularly friendly. It has that “we’re popular so we don’t have to try too hard” energy, which some people love for the exclusivity, but it’s not really my thing.

In short: great coffee, great food, cool atmosphere, but crowded, a bit unfriendly, and the outdoor seating area could use more care. I’m still giving this place 5 stars. It might not be my cup of tea, but it’s gonna work for other people.

Scorpio Coffee in downtown Sacramento completely surprised me. The space is gorgeous, modern, and designed so well, with plenty of options to sit—some private, some outdoors, even stand-up bars that give it a cool, flexible vibe.

The coffee was excellent. I went with their light to medium roast, fruity and balanced, and it instantly reminded me of the coffee I loved in Barcelona. The baristas are outstanding, with milk texture that’s spot on.

The müsli was incredible, with fresh fruit, berries, peach, and super crisp granola. Honestly one of the most delicious things I’ve had in a café.

I was blown away by the whole experience. Between the coffee, food, vibe, and service, this is easily one of my new favorite spots in Sacramento and one I’d highly recommend—it’s absolutely worth a detour if you’re anywhere near downtown.
