I was in town for the Ironman race, and stopped in specifically because it was a British pub. I had studied in London and was really looking forward to a Strongbow Cider. They don't carry it there which seems anti-british to me (only joking).
Other than the initial disappointment, it was still a great place to relax and enjoy a local California cider instead!

I would give them no stars if possible. Had a friend visiting from Australia and decided to stop in for a drink. We ordered some fries with our drinks but never got the fries. The smell of the oil in the fryer smelled so gross. Then the fries came out looking brown. We got a refund and left. They even shorted us a dollar. The atmosphere is hideous. Very small and dirty. Staff refuses to serve you at your table. You have to go to the bar for your drinks.

In all of Old Sac I tend to go here more than any other place. The staff, environment, is the best in Old Sac. They rarely if ever have bullshit like some of the other bars. The drinks are cheap. The food is good for bar food. Nice outside on a busy corner. This is usually the bar that anyone who stops in Old Sac would visit.

Food good. I enjoyed the Irish corned beef sandwich on pretzel roll. The bartender, cook/server was pretty efficient getting everything done while other staff person took their break. Prices very reasonable.

RUDE & RACIST!!!! There should be a NO PEOPLE OF COLOR sign out front!!! Spend your money ANYWHERE ELSE!!! I was treated like less than a human by all bar staff!!! My very first time there was yesterday and the man behind the car with short spiky hair IMMEDIATELY began being rude because he did not want to assist me at the bar (which is fine). I’m not sure what other reason you would have to be that rude to a stranger at a BAR!!! You make money and serve drinks…as a Bartender. He then started whispering to his coworkers to get everyone on board to mistreat me and a friend of mine to the point where we just left. I had no idea this environment was so HOSTILE & UNWELCOMING on my only night off from work in 6 days straight just wanted a nice evening out and was treated like trash!!!

Visited July 16th..see receipt.

I wanted to try their Irish coffee that many say is wonderful and it was! Ryan the bartender was friendly and courteous and made a great Irish coffee! The cream on top was just right!

Of course I had to get a warm pretzel ( love pretzels!). It came with 2 dipping sauces and it was warm and cooked just right! I give it 5 stars on the taste!

It's a friendly bar/pub with friendly patrons. Fun place to start your day!

Came in feeling a little hungry and nauseous. I ordered a sprite and Buffalo cauliflower wings . The sprite has the most perfect fizzle I needed to settle my stomach without tasting like battery acid and the cauliflower was fried to perfection. I didn’t leave a crumb behind . Thanks again for taking care of me on my small break šŸ«¶šŸ¾

Just lovely! I came here for lunch. I got the chicken sandwich, which was super tasty. It came with chips and a pickle, and with the local discount it was less than $10. Cheers šŸ»

Sean Finnegan’s Pub is a cozy spot right in the heart of Old Town Sacramento. Its reputation for having the best Irish coffee in Sacramento drew me in, and I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. When I arrived, everyone was very friendly, and I took a seat at the bar to order an Irish coffee. Not long after, another couple also ordered two Irish coffees, followed by another guest with the same order, so it is clearly a popular choice.

When my Irish coffee arrived, it was absolutely fantastic. Although it is the only Irish coffee I have tried in Sacramento, I would say it is the best in the city based on my experience. If you find yourself in Old Town Sacramento, I recommend stopping by Sean Finnegan’s Pub to see for yourself.
