This place really surprised me! It was very rainy when I dined, so it was a little on the quiet side. I was seated immediately and had my order taken within minutes. The food came out promptly - and it was amazing. Fresh - veggies still crispy, rice still fluffy, nice cook on the beef and chicken in our dishes. Flavor on point, no complaints or critique there. The staff was friendly and the chef & server are a cute little couple.Looks are deceiving! I didn’t think I’d be happy looking from the outside - but the food and kindness of the people won me over.Vegetarian options: Ample vegetarian options available!Parking: Parking on side of the building. Easy access, plenty of spaces

Excellent service and food. The hosts were very warm and kind and treated my family to a wonderful experience. My boys ate everything on their plates and got to check out the fishes in the front.

This place is sooo good! The food, especially the salt and pepper pork, was DELICIOUS. Very authentic and the interior is beautiful. The kind of place where the staff folds the dumplings by hand. We have and will go back

You know what they say about Chinese restaurant with 3.5 stars on Yelp! Those restaurants are the most delicious and authentic Chinese food in America. It's definitely true. I am from Shanghai and the food here is delicious and authentic for sure. The chef chatted with us a little bit. He was from Shanghai. You can't get any more authentic than this.

(1)酸菜笋尖炒肉丝- 非常好吃。(2)上海生煎包- 煎的还不错，皮太厚，馅儿一般。(3)松鼠鱼- 炸的太过火了！！不太好吃。(4) 老板娘服务满分 ( fish is too fried , too much. Don't like it. The sour veggie is perfect , baozi is okay. Skin too think, filing is okay. but overall okay. The lady owner is very nice and excellent service)

Update:Came back again and tried some other dishes. Shanghai braised pork was really good. I also tried cauliflower drypot which was cooked very well. The steamed fish took a while to come out but it was delicious. Very authentic place.Old review:I had a good time getting a more authentic Shanghainese food experience here. We got an authentic dish -- vegetable rice with Chinese bacon which was done pretty well, rice was not stuck together and plenty of vegetables not overcooked. The pork intestines dry pot tasted delicious albeit a little overly fried and salty (but soo delicious if you're into it). It came out in a little burner that was sizzling and cooking the onions as we ate. You can taste a slight Sichuan pepper taste, which is awesome. The Kung pao chicken was sweeter but lots of veggies and zucchini and carrots.The service was friendly and very local (owner is shanghainese!) There is a little bar in front that is reminiscent of the nostalgic shanghai colonial arch styles, interior is cute and quirky.For sacramento area, definitely reccomend this place to change up getting Chinese food that's not the typical Canto-style that is popularized. Prices are also very fair and I hope they get more business.

This place is fantastic. For some reason I really had a craving for hot and sour soup at work and there weren't a lot of options open after 10pm. They happily took my to go order and held it for me even tho I took longer than expected to arrive. Kinda hard to see off broadway but the hot and sour soup reslly hit the spot and was very tasty. Not bland at all. The house fried rice I got actually ended up being really good too they don't use that nasty spongy bland flavorless beef that some Chinese spots use it was actually good tasting textured beef. Support this local place

Feel welcoming like home you know ^^ I think what people dont know about shaghainess food is it has more flavor than cantonese food , same ingredients, different specialty. I tried everything here compare to other restaurant they're doing a great job !!! Give it a try guys. U will take k me later !! Thier parking is big .So don't hesitate to try something new in American Chinese food culture . It's all yummy here . Especially thier appetizer cold dish , beef soup , seafood soup , egg drop soup flavorful , thier sweet and sour feel like it's best sweet and sour tastes.... ever had in Sacramento . I'm very very picky eater when it come to food since I'm great cook ! This place seem quiet . with the pandemic I feel bad for her because her food is so goooood !!

Food was old, reheated, bland tasting.. the noodles are the super thick flavorless ones.. the rice was like frozen bag from safeway.And the egg rolls I ordered (all part of a takeout order) were cold and soggy!!! Starving forced myself to eat some but couldn't even get through half of it.. not even gonna bother trying to complain I just now know why it's so cheap.. because it is!! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a dirty AF fish tank.. bet the grills in the back or microwaves are treated with rhe same maintenance as the poor fish. This was my first and last time ever going there. Not recommended if you're craving Chinese food this place doesn't represent well at all.
