Had Skips for the first time today. The fried cod had more batter than fish. I've never seen such thinly sliced fish to be fried in my life. Hush puppies were pretty good. The fried shrimp was only OK! I'd rather drive across town to Ocean Fish or even Pete's Pizza for fish that is cooked well and good-sized portions. I won't be back, maybe for the hush puppies, but that is all. It was only $15 for a plate, but it was still not worth it.

Cat fish was cooked well just needed more seasoning. Onion rings were weird.

We ordered Snapper Fish and Chips, Shrimp PoBoy, Chicken tender and Hush Puppies.
Snapper Fish and Chips was pretty good, but the bun for PoBoy was very dry. Chicken tender was below par, and Hush Puppies were old and dry because kept too long in the warmer.

Honestly, I'm VERY disappointed, about a year ago when "Moe" was managing the place under the previous ownership the service and food was EXCELLENT! I went there today and it seemed like it's under new ownership, the vibe was not as it was but my biggest complaint is about the FOOD. Ordered the Nashville spicy combo with fries and a drink. The food took long as usual but when it came out the batter on the chicken was EXTREMELY salty and the fries were hot on the outside and cold on the inside and very stale. I brought it to the ladies attention who I'm assuming is the new owner and she was helpful but she came out from the back and contradicted my claim of the salt and said "there is no salt". Absolutely false claim. My 7 year old son was squinting his eyes and complaining after 2 bites. I ended up getting replaced with 3 pieces of fish that was OK but nothing to talk about. Please don't cut corners and ask ridiculous prices for mediocre food! Listen to your customers' concerns otherwise the business will not last. Very very unfortunate.

I have visited this location a half a dozen times. I think today is my last.. The order takers could do better at explaining what you do and don't get for your order. They have a sign posted that you pay a fee for credit card use. That being said I was charged basically half a dollar using my debit card. I asked why the cashier stated EVERYONE IS CHARGED!! What's that about. Sadly I will be going to another location. The food is very good thank goodness!

Terrible customer service !! The chick was rude when I asked questions. She also put my order in wrong. I’ve been looking forward to this for 2 months. Way to ruin a customer experience. Won’t be coming back here again or recommending it to anyone ! Such a shame.

I love this place! Food always fresh and cooked to order and the Indian lady in the front is ALWAYS so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend the catfish

I bought chicken and shrimp and it tasted like it had been cooked last week! It was OLD and tasteless. A big waste of $28! Save you money and go across the street to Carl's Jr. Way better food! Now I know why the place was totally empty when I went there.

I ordered the catfish PO Boy sandwich and it was very disappointing to say the least. It was very dry and the sandwich had more bread than fish. I thought I was getting Coleslaw on the instead it was on the sandwich. The only good thing was the fries. For the price negative review.

Skips is a nice place to have a meal. The prices are good and the food is even better. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Something people don’t mention, the bathroom is spotless.
