This place doesnt have a lot to sell. Food area is just ok but they need to add more selection and need more customers,

Perfect lao food. You have to know this place, to know. Their pad thai is bomb. I love their sausage and sticky rice combo. Thai tea here is probably one of my favorites! I love their fatty pork belly with egg. steamed catfish & kaopoon. Service is always on point too. Call ahead for quicker service but their service is really fast already!

*Food is served to go only*I guess South Area Market still hasn't opened dining in yet since COVID. I wish I had been aware of this prior to coming, since I knew I wanted to order the Kapoon; it was more than a little difficult to eat this particular item out of the container. They have a small market/grocery area in the front, followed by a space with many tables with the chairs flipped over the tops of them (since they're only doing to go now), and in the very back is where you order prepared food. We tried the following: Lao Sausage, Sticky Rice, Pad Thai, Beef Laab, and Kapoon. I have enjoyed Kapoon more elsewhere, but it was still ok from this business. I haven't had Laab before, and I enjoyed the flavor of the dish. My favorite item was the Pad Thai by far.Friendly and welcoming service.

Amazing food. Run by a very nice family. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu now and love everything I’ve had. Very good papaya salad and Lao sausage.

Went to this market to help get over our “just got home from Thailand depression” We were happy to see some Thai cooking products there that we will probably go back for. Also I will most likely go back and buy a Sticky Rice steamer setup (haven’t seen anywhere else in CA). Staff was friendly. We noticed they had Isan Sausage so we had to try it. Because of credit card minimum purchase rules we also bought some Pad Thai. The sausage was delicious! The Pad Thai was on the sweeter side but had chicken and shrimp, plus the portion was pretty big. I am sure they will be seeing us again soon

I had this mini market/express food store bookmarked for months and finally got to try it today! I made papaya salad earlier today, so I needed some protein to go with it. Walked inside and the store is a mini market and a express food restaurant at the same time. My boyfriend and I shopped around first and got some Asian snacks then we headed to the food portion of the store and decided what to order. We ended up getting fried chicken wings, Lao sausages, sticky rice, fried meatballs and a tapioca with taro dessert. My heavens, the fried chicken wings were delicious. The cashier working informed us it would be a 15 minute wait for the chicken wings and it was so worth it. The chicken wings were crispy, fresh and seasoned well. The lao sausages were so flavorful! It was like a party inside my mouth whenever I took a bite. I like that they ask if you would like the sausages sliced or not. My boyfriend got his whole and I got mines sliced. The sticky rice was so good, it paired very well with the chicken wings and sausages. The fried meatballs were just okay for us, it's literally just meatballs that are fried haha. But they do give you sauce to eat it with! I think was a sweet and sour sauce. Lastly, the taro tapioca dessert we got was just okay too. The flavor was there 100% but I felt like the taro inside was too hard and the milk or cream was too thick for the consistency. I'll be back here again to try what I enjoyed on the menu along with new items! Also, the customer service here is top tier. The girl cashier who helped us out was so sweet throughout the whole time we shopped and waited. She also brought out our food for us since we went to go in wait the car. 5 stars because she didn't have to do that, but she was thoughtful enough to. :)

The food was good, but on the pricier side depending on the dish since it is take-out only. The beef Laab was delicious but the portion was small considering it was $15. The Lao sausage was also delicious and was priced reasonably at $3. There are also a couple isles of food items for sale and cooking ingredients.

Likely one of the best tasting thai food places around. There's no where to sit inside so it's a take out place. The front is a small Asian(Thai) market, and the back is a food area. We ordered Lao sausage, Pad See Ew, and Pad Thai this time around. As expected it was delicious. Warning, the spice/heat here is legit.

Love all the food here. Best lao sausage & papaya in town.

FOOD WAS BOMB AF!Came in and bought the papaya salad, lao sausage, and sticky rice. I asked for mild and the papaya salad was so juicy and spicy and yummy. I wish the ratio to sauce and papaya was better. The Lao sausage was so tender and juicy. Kinda sweet, kinda salty. The dining area wasn't open but that was okay. The grocery store side was cool, lots of snacks and cookware. Place wasn't the prettiest but it's okay because service was awesome and food was awesome!Ambiance was okay and quiet.
