Southside Super was such a fun surprise. Tucked away but full of energy, this spot blends Korean and Vietnamese flavors into dishes that feel both authentic and creative. I started with their Korean fried chicken, and it was hands-down some of the best I’ve had in Sacramento - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Then I tried their pho, and the broth was rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting. It was clear that everything had been slow-cooked with care. What I loved most was the way Southside Super brought together bold, street-food-inspired flavors in a way that still felt elevated. The vibe of the restaurant was lively, with great music and a welcoming staff that made the whole experience even better. Our server was helpful in recommending dishes, and I’m so glad I listened because each plate came out better than the last. This is the type of restaurant that makes you want to come back with friends so you can order a bunch of things to share. The flavors were exciting, the portions generous, and the atmosphere made the whole night feel like a celebration.

The quality is pretty good, but I wouldn’t come back.

Chicken pho 4/5
This is a different take on pho. Usually, it's a more plain and smooth chicken broth with green onions, meat, and onions and you add as much bean sprouts, basil, jalapenos, lime and sauces (hoisin, oyster, siracha, chili oil, fish sauce, & pickle jalapenos) as you want. The broth is already seasoned, and it taste like someone made their bowl of pho just for you. The broth is good, but I prefer a cleaner bowl of pho where the chicken is more pronounced with lots of basil and bean sprouts. The actual meat is pretty tender, flavorful, and easy to shallow. I usually can’t chew the skin, but it was fine here. Its not actually a lot of food for $17 compared to other pho restaurants, but its a perfect amount and not too filling. The Chinese doughnut was grilled, so it was good. Honestly, I prefer Saigon 88, where the chicken flavor is more pronounced, but the skin is inedible for me.

Bossam 2/5
The pork belly is pretty tender just like other Korean restaurants, but it is not worth it. There is just not enough cabbage, radish kimchi, sauces, jalapeños, or garlic to compliment the pork belly. You only get one small piece of garlic for 20+ slices of meat. The kimchi just isn’t pickled or sour enough to cut the fattiness.

This place is very modest in size, but never in flavor. I appreciate the vegetarian and non red-meat options. Their to-go's are just right for a picnic, light meal, or an afternoon pick-me-up. I haven't had their dine-in meals yet, but my sibling used to frequent this place with their friends before they moved away. I checked this place out thanks to their rave recommendations!
The food is good, the service is friendly, and I never have to ask for napkins or utensils! If you're in the area, I totally think it's worth the visit. Plus, you'll be helping a local small business! ( ˘▽˘)っ♨

We were there for lunch. We went there a bit before 12pm and there was already a line. Good thing that we didn't wait too long to get a table. I have tried the spicy chicken which is the special on the menu, however, the chicken is a bit dry. I think I should get the bento box. My friends had chicken pho, and my friend told me the broth tastes really good. Maybe I will try it next time.

One of my go to spots for a good meal. Can’t wait for the braised beef short rib to come back.

In a nutshell; small neat place to try good food. Can also grab pay and go as well.

Can get a little crowded and cramp a bit but still a pleasant experience, staff were all great, food is good, and would try again. There is a small lot available on the side to park but can get filled easily if busy. Kind of reminds me of very local eatery places in local Japan. Overall neat place if you don't mind the limited space and still want to enjoy some good food.

This place has always been on my list. It's really small but has easy parking. I got the kimchi fried rice and it was really good. Went on a weekday during lunchtime and it wasn't that busy. Everyone was so nice. I will be coming back.

Southside Super is the spot! Their rotating menu always keeps things interesting, and when they are making it, the chicken pho is amazing—so rich and delicious. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Sacramento!
