We were there for lunch. We went there a bit before 12pm and there was already a line. Good thing that we didn't wait too long to get a table. I have tried the spicy chicken which is the special on the menu, however, the chicken is a bit dry. I think I should get the bento box. My friends had chicken pho, and my friend told me the broth tastes really good. Maybe I will try it next time.

One of my go to spots for a good meal. Can’t wait for the braised beef short rib to come back.

Got the short ribs. Super flavorful and tender! Cool little hole in the wall spot.

In a nutshell; small neat place to try good food. Can also grab pay and go as well.

Can get a little crowded and cramp a bit but still a pleasant experience, staff were all great, food is good, and would try again. There is a small lot available on the side to park but can get filled easily if busy. Kind of reminds me of very local eatery places in local Japan. Overall neat place if you don't mind the limited space and still want to enjoy some good food.

This place has always been on my list. It's really small but has easy parking. I got the kimchi fried rice and it was really good. Went on a weekday during lunchtime and it wasn't that busy. Everyone was so nice. I will be coming back.

Southside Super is the spot! Their rotating menu always keeps things interesting, and when they are making it, the chicken pho is amazing—so rich and delicious. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Sacramento!

Absolutely delicious! Their egg salad sandwich gives Konbi’s a run for its money. Pho was delicious. Kimbap on point. We’ll be back!

Cozy spot in Sac with some dank ass food. Perfect spot for a chilly day and some Asian comfort food.

Tiny gem hidden away on V st. They have some items premade and some to order. We got in and had the Spam fried rice to order and grabbed a Bulgogi Kimbap as well as some Japchae. Everything was so good. The real treat though were the Pickled Jalapenos at the table, they add such a good flavor to all our food. Definitely will come back to try other items.

Southside super is the definite of a hidden gem. This little sub 20 seat spot serves up a limited menu of the best Vietnamese and Korean food you ever had. And don’t get it wrong—limited doesn’t mean there’s not enough; rather, they do what they do perfectly. I don’t order chicken pho anywhere because it tends to be flat and watery. Not so here—the best of my life. The broth is packed with deep flavors but not over-seasoned. Their herbs are fresh and light to contrast the richness of the broth, and the flaky little baguette they serve with it is an excellent compliment. Another standout is the meatball sandwich—yes, I said meatball sandwich. Fresh, fluffy and filling, the sauce it is served with is sharp enough to balance and deepen the flavors even more. Their lunchboxes are awesome grab and goes; their kimbap are one of the only ways I’ll eat spam; and their cold snacks are fabulous with authentic flavors. 20/10 no notes, don’t skip it.
