I know this place as “Spinners” - it’s inside the gas station. I always stop in for a hot, fresh, super-gooey cinnamon roll when I’m in Sacramento. They are VERY sweet but also reheat well if you want to save one (or five) for later.
A few months since the new owners took over and it is still not the same.The sticky buttery cinnamon that usually gets all over no longer oozes from the roll and the sugar topping is skimpy. I’ll give them another six months or so.
My mom has been eating these Cinnamon rolls since before I was born. I’m 29 and I’ve been coming here since I could remember. I called to place an order as usual, because I order dozens at a time, and the guy on the phone could barely take my order. Didn’t think much of it until I picked up the next day. Sandy and Larry would always take out my order straight from the oven…but this time mine were the ones in the case that looked like they’d been left over from the day...
