This happened in JUNE and I still haven’t been able to forget this encounter. I love Squeeze Burgers and have enjoyed them at a few of their locations. Here though? No food was enjoyed, and the staff were straight-up nasty. My partner and I had 25 minutes until boarding, and thought that was plenty of time to get some fast food. We waited (no exaggeration) 20 mins to get two crispy chicken sandwiches. We didn’t order fries or drinks. Just two crispy chicken sandwiches. The kitchen is completely visible, right behind the counter, and it was like observing sloths at the zoo, only NOT cute.
When we had less than five minutes left to start boarding, we went to the counter to see if our order would be ready soon.
Big mistake. Before we said a single word, a woman in the kitchen rolled her eyes so far into her head it was like The Exorcist and told us, “YoU cAn’T dO tHat”, pointing to the touchscreen pos system.
I said we had already ordered, we have to leave to catch our plane, will our food be ready within five minutes? She asked our order number and looked at the ticket and told us no. She could only give us grilled chicken sandwiches. What? I asked why can’t we get the ones we ordered. She lifted her arms and bellowed, “because we have to COOK it for you, we can’t just serve it to you RAW!!”
And I’m thinking, why don’t you just cook it then??? It made no sense whatsoever, obviously a grilled chicken sandwich needs to be cooked too??? She was so smug, delighting in the fact that we are apparently IDIOTS because we… asked for the food we had ordered and paid for. After waiting 20 minutes. For two sandwiches. At an airport. Where people have places to be.
Obviously, we weren’t going to reason with a psycho and said we would need a refund then. She proceeded to argue that it would take just as long to get a manager for a refund as it would to cook the sandwiches. But not the sandwiches we ordered. Different sandwiches.
None of this makes any sense. Finally, a manager was conjured and the refund issued. He offered no contrition and seemed confused, like he didn’t even know why he was there. We were one of the last to board but we made our flight just in time.
What’s up with this business?? I’ve never been bullied by a business’s staff members before in my life. They were *literally* trying to steal our lunch money. It’s extremely shady and I genuinely question Squeeze Burgers’ legitimacy. The worst part is I can never eat another Squeeze Burger again!! Even if it were perfect, this experience left an indelible impression that would make anything taste bad.

Went to the airport at 5am one lady was making all of the food and serving all the orders. There was a very long line and the food came out at a great pace, was hot, and tasted delicious!

If you're eating at the airport, this is a good bet. Get the cheeseburger - it's smothered with cheddar (which the clerk couldn't differentiate from American). Burgers were large (1/3 lb), toppings were customizable, and prices were better than the competition. Fries were just okay; would prefer a bit crispier.

Observed an employee handling raw chicken and then handling other food like bun without changing gloves and washing their hands. I do not have a food safety certification but feel certain that changing gloves and washing hands before touching other food is a best practice. At least it is in my kitchen.
I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. I was hoping for it to be overwhelming with cheese like the burger but it was appropriate for 8:21am.

At lunch hour, it took 30 minutes to get a chicken sandwich. This is an airport fast food joint, speed is key. Go to the iron horse tavern next door, better and faster service, better food. No point in airport fast food if it’s not fast!

The burger is super-delicious, greasy, and messy...make sure to get lots of extra napkins. I bought the bacon, cheese, double-burger combo; the amount of fries that came with the combo was on the smaller portion size. Over the lunch hour, there was only Order Taker and one Cook, and they were struggling to keep up with the orders.

It’s five PM and they are closed leaving one restaurant at terminal A Sacramento International Airport. What a joke!!!! The sign say open till eight PM unfortunately the employees can’t read.

This place is SERIOUSLY over priced and will buckle and dime you for anything more than a plain burger!!!! Absolutely ridiculous that sac airport doesn’t have ANY affordable options like all the other airports. They intentionally chose restaurants that cost and arm and a leg for food that is needed for those with medical conditions who HAVE to eat. Smh go to another airport if you want to eat.
