I love this place , highest quality Vietnamese food in town. Super clean and Beautiful inside. Must get the jungle curry I've been going here for 10 years and still haven't found a better place

We ordered an appetizer (can't recall the name, but they were were vegetarian tofu wraps with a peanut sauce) & two bowls of vegetarian pho for delivery. Everything tasted great and the soup arrived still hot. Will certainly order from this restaurant again.

FOOD POISONING ALERT! I ordered some food and when I arrived 25 minutes later nothing had been prepared and I had to wait another 25 minutes. The woman who took my ordered didn't even apologize for the inconvenience to me. I ate 4 eggrolls and half of my noodle dish. I saved the salad for later. Sometime later, I got stomach cramps and had to go to the bathroom several times. Never did eat the salad for fear of some bacteria in it. The place is dirty and there are only 2 people working. Both of the women look like they just rolled out of bed. Just absolutely disgusting attitude and food. Crappy service and crappy is what you'll be doing if you eat here!

The food is always exceptional here but the lady working the front was super rude and not friendly at all. Everything changed when the owner/supervisor came in. She was very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend the crepe, shrimp fresh roll, spicy Thai chicken soup and bbq beef bahn mi sandwich. Amazing

Food is great. Service is always the ones knocking points off. I don't think I have a high expectations but there's definitely room for improvement. I was here once before and this place has not had improved. Anyways, food is great tho. Willing to come back.

I try to not post reviews but this restaurant has changed ownership a few years ago. From being good it became awful in every respect. The waitress now is the most unfriendly I have ever met. Cannot smile. The food used to be good with last owner. Why change the recipes which were great?...Avoid at all cost Pad thai and soup. Must have drop some tomato sauce in the noddle. Will not come back. Waste of money. NOODLE TO THAI FOR is great on 24 th and broadway. Staff and owner are friendly genuine people. They know how to run a business.

Rude , rude , rude. Woman at front counter couldn't have been any more rude. Didnt welcome me in didnt ask what I wanted, then when i gave her my cash she threw back a bunch of one dollar Bill's and about 4 dollars in quarters all over the counter. Then just walked off with her rude self. I have never been here before, and I definitely will not be coming back. Thanks for the crap service.

I'm writing this as I stand in the restaurant waiting for my food that I was told would be ready in 15 minutes. It's been just shy of an hour and the two people ahead of me also waited about an hour. I've inquired twice with two different employees whether my food had been started or when it would be ready and both times I've been acknowledged and then had my inquiry ignored. I don't like kicking a restaurant when it's down and the pandemic has caused a lot of logistical issues, but they've been doing this for more than a month so they should have it figured out by now. And if they don't, that's okay, just don't tell me it's only going to be 15 minutes when you know that isn't even close to true and rudely ignore my request to find out how long it's going to be when I've already been waiting 45 minutes. Also, their service has been declining for a long time since the last ownership transfer. I've had delays in the past, received the wrong food, and experienced pretty bad customer service. This is just the straw that broke the camel's back. I live nearby so I've enjoyed the convenience of a quick meal from them in the past. But I could have gone to the store and made dinner in the time I was standing around waiting for my food. I'm done here, and if you're reading this, I wouldn't bother. Edit: Annnnd the precooked chicken in my banh mi sandwich was still cold.

NEVER again. We have a pandemic going on and the woman at the cash register looks sick. She was touching her face, eyes teary, upper respiratory issues, not sure if it was seasonal allergies or Covid-19, but she was wearing no face mask, one latex glove, and gave me four dollars in dimes because she had no proper change. I asked where the manager was and the girl said she only came by to give them change in the morning. I was told the manager worked in a hospital and wasn't around to manage the place. Why isn't the owner or manager taking care of the staff here and protecting the customers??!! Especially if one of them works in a hospital or whatever, you should know better! And screen your employees PLEASE!!! Wow, don't let them work sick!!! I seriously wanted to walk out without the food because I was afraid to take home the bag. When we did take the bag, I immediately wiped my hands with hand sanitizer when I got in the car. On the way home the sauce inside the bag leak all over. This place will remain in my memory as the worst place to eat take out during a pandemic.

This is my first time eating from star ginger. I was super excited bc my first order was stolen last week. I ordered $50 of food from here from doordash and a homeless person ran off with it as soon as the doordash delivery dropped it off. Anyways today we ordered shrimps and chicken fried rice and banh mi with lemongrass chicken. I have to say that I'm disappointed in my order. I hate writing bad reviews but my fried rice has 3 shrimps and no Chinese sauces. The greens are aka peas and carrots. I see chicken pieces, eggs and green onions. I was hoping for the sauces to make up for the 3 shrimps but there no where to be found. The rice is soft and I love the texture and flavor but where are the rest of the toppings!!!!!? This is not worth $12 I paid on doordash. My bf's banh mi is lacking flavor from the lemongrass. I'm Vietnamese so I expect that to be better. Lemongrass is a powerful ingredient. Maybe they need to marinate it with the chicken longer bc it doesn't taste like it supposed to. Anyways, this is my second time ordering from here but first time eating it. Would I come back? Yes. I don't dismiss a restaurant without giving them a second try. Hopefully it's only a miss today and next time it will be better. But today is a sad day for me. I wish my fried rice (comfort food) would be better.

Service is TERRIBLE and prices are NOT as advertised on the menu. I told the person at the register the price I was charged is not what was advertised on their online menu. She said "I don't know where you looked for that price because it's wrong." I told her it was from their website. And she pointed at an in-print menu and said "see here this is the price." I reiterated that the online prices are different and she refused to fix it. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. Looks like next time I'm going to stick with what I know is good and I'll take my business to Sushi Cafe next door. Updated the review to change from 2 stars to 1. I have ordered food from here before, and I ordered the same item today and it was NOT the same as it has previously been. The Korean bbq beef sandwich did not have the bbq sauce as advertised, and instead of tender shredded beef like it previously came with today it was prepared with dry, overcooked slices beef. I called the restaurant to talk to them about the issues and they told me that the menu is "old" so it's not their fault. I asked to speak to the manager and she said that the manager is not in the building and there was no one else to talk to. They will not be getting my business in the future, and I will tell all my coworkers to order lunch from Sushi Cafe next door instead. Terrible business practice.

I used to live this place but it's definitely NOT the same. The Chicken Khao Soi used to be my favorite it had shredded chicken and the most delicious soup. I bought it today and it had sliced bland prepackaged chicken, the broth was super salty. Why have you guys changed your recipes? Please go back to your old recipes or get your old cooks back! Missing your old food!!!!

STAY AWAY! RUDE AS HELL! AVOID!!! They messed up my order and then threatened to call the police on me. I ordered from here for the first time yesterday from grub hub. I ordered the grilled salmon over brown rice with salad that comes with curry sauce as stated on their online menu. I ordered the same again today over the phone. I ask for extra yellow sauce. He says curry sauce? I dunno know what the yellow sauce is -I say yes. I ask for brown rice. I arrive to salmon swimming in jungle curry with white rice. I say this isn't my order. I want grilled salmon over rice. He tells me this is curry salmon and the other salmon dish doesn't come with curry sauce or brown rice. I go back to my car to look up the dish online- in their description it says lemongrass marinated grilled salmon over rice WITH CURRY SAUCE! The person who was so rude and threatened to call the police on me was a young Latino male with wavy black hair and a mustache. I go back in to show him the description and he tells me the restaurant has 4 different inconsistent menus. I'm like how is that my problem?! He tells me I like to argue when I tell him the first thing he should do is apologize to his customer and admit fault he's like that's not my approach. Then he threatens to call the police bc he doesn't like this interaction in front of customers! I was like it's cool, I'll just write you a nice review on yelp! On the way out I yelled, "This restaurant sucks!" - I know, petty but felt sooo good and he yells, "Grow up!" Hey there genius employee, no one knows me but you yelling in your restaurant at an unsatisfied customer in front of other customers?! - smooth move there! Doubt that couple will be back. To work in customer service I'd recommend some people skills and reading your own freaking menus and admitting when you screw up like an adult. I was about to be a new customer. Now I'll turn people away from such a rude establishment that threatens to call police on people when they mess up your order. I'm a black woman so calling the police could be deadly for me. The salmon was good but good luck being able to order again. Had the Korean bbq too n it was dry bland and not worth it! This area is abundant with asian food. Go elsewhere! Note to management- your staff is driving away your customers. Your yelp reviews suck so you need all the help you can get and get your menus on one consistent page.
