The coffee shop had a quiet, easygoing atmosphere, perfect for a weekday afternoon. The staff were friendly and attentive, but with business being slow, we were able to enjoy our iced coffees and chat without the usual hustle and bustle of a busier place. It was a nice, peaceful moment that a larger, more crowded shop just couldn't provide.

I have been getting the same drink every day, a salted caramel cold foam cold brew, from any of the many downtown Sacramento Starbucks for years. On May 2, 2025, I picked up my drink from the 19th and J store, and was disappointed because it wasn't filled to the top. To me, the foam is the best part, and leaving a quarter inch of room meant there was significantly less foam than usual. The barista noticed my disappointment and asked what was wrong. He had already thrown away the extra foam left in the frother, or I would have asked him to just add it to my drink. Instead, I let him know why I was disappointed. None of this is a big deal, but what happened next was unacceptable. The man apologized that every other barista at every store including his had been making my drink wrong all these years, and explained that he and only he had made it correctly. That is NOT the way to deal with a dissatisfied customer who visits Starbucks every day (often more than once a day because I like both their breakfast and lunch options). I was so flabbergasted that he made the situation about himself and that he just wanted to argue with me that I left, but if that's what Starbucks' idea of customer service is, these days, I'll have to give some real thought to exploring other options. I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the other baristas there are lovely, but this never should have happened.

I stopped by on Monday 2/10:2025 for my free cup of coffee. Well, guess what? I was charged full price, even though I told the barista "I wanted to get my free tall cup of coffee as a Sbux member". Ugh! So in other words, they are lying to their customers.

February 5, 2025 Review number, Maestro or Maestra a few notes on the piano if you please, Six of this Starbucks! It is across from an Old Spaghetti Factory! Small inside, but yes, there is seating! Tried Protein Box, worth $6.95 on Starbucks card or if one has cash, say $10.00, they get $3.05 back in change! Very good! Healthy items! Hotel Security took me here! They saw what I ordered, say good choice, well it is healthy items instead "junk" such as onion rings, dreaded fries, or potato chips! Thank to the different Hotel Security that walked me here!
I came in for a few days while attending a conference nearby. nice guy with a beanie on, I think his name is Burton, remembered my name by the 3rd time I came in and greeted me by name when I walked in the door. IMO that is above and beyond friendly staff and very well made drinks (: wish this was my local Starbucks cause I'd come more often
