I genuinely cannot believe I am writing a negative review on this Starbucks again. I as well work inside of a Safeway Starbucks so it upsets me to have to write this but it needs to be addressed because I know this behavior would not be tolerated. Specifically Elaine's unprofessional and rude behavior, the manager at that Starbucks (everyone else is perfect!). My wife goes inside of this Safeway Starbucks almost everyday for her breaks and orders the same old. I let my wife know previously that to save even 10 cents off, to bring her own reusable cup to save her even a little bit of money since she goes there regularly which she did today. As my wife let Elaine know that she was hoping to use her own reusable hot cup, Elaine immediately went "Um...yeah NO we can't do that." So nicely, my wife said "Oh okay! :)" Elaine then huffed and puffed and turned to her coworker and said "She wants US to make her drink in her own cup. We are going to have to put on gloves." That's interesting because from what I last remember Dave mentioned we didn't need to continue to follow covid protocols and can accept reusable cups. And even if you have to put on gloves, I don't understand the issue with that. They are gloves for a reason. Also, if reusable cups aren't allowed, that's completely fine but there is no reason to say it so negatively and rudely to your customers, especially as a manager, putting them in a place where they feel uncomfortable. Additionally, my wife ordered a lemon loaf. As she finished up her lemon loaf she got a horrible pain in her stomach and looked at the date on the lemon loaf to see when it expired. IT EXPIRED YESTERDAY. How and why are you serving your customers expired pastries?? Definitely know myself that is not acceptable. As a regular closer at my location, I am well aware these are supposed to be thrown out every night once they expire. Very upsetting because my wife has already gotten food poisoning from the pastries here. The only reason my wife isn't writing this review and I am is because she deals with immense anxiety and confrontation so I need to take matters into my own hands because this behavior cannot keep happening. As a manager, she should know that. :)

I’m a regular here and although i come all the time they really need to work on being faster or have a better strategy when taking orders. 15 mins waiting for a drink I didn’t even get is a bit ridiculous

Seriously stand in line for a cup of ice while some soccer mom spends forever to order venti cups of sugar when it's 100 outside how rude and don't nobody wanna play guess the barista lamest customer service ever for such a low producing store this barista is clearly overwhelmed I can tell by the way she had to shake one iced coffee so the agony of giving ice would be excruciating for her....

She's a person working the drive-through this morning with the mushroom earring thank you for making my day better. I was having a pretty rough morning and when I discovered I was totally out of coffee I just figured the rest of my day was going to be absolute garbage. Going through the drive-through was easy and when I reached the window you were smiling and so friendly and I just knew that my day was going to get better thank you.
