Tasty sandwiches at reasonable prices. One of the least expensive places in Old Sacramento to eat. Lots of vegetarian options, as well as other dietary restrictions such as gluten free and lactose free. The pumpkin spice latte is made with their own house-made pumpkin sauce/syrup and it’s amazing.

Friendly service but food (fish sandwich and salad) was not good. The fried fish tasted like cheapest fast food.

Ordered the Turkey Bacon Panino. Way too much nasty sauce. My girlfriend's burger was pretty mid. They didn't bring napkins to the table when they brought our order.

We had coffee only. Fast service but rude attitude.

I had a frustrating and disheartening experience at this establishment due to an unnecessary and uncompassionate policy. I arrived with the full intention of making a purchase but was experiencing an emergency and asked to use the restroom first. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation, I was forced to buy something before being allowed to use the bathroom. The manager, Felicia, was completely tone-deaf to the situation, more concerned with rigidly enforcing policy than recognizing the humanity of the person in front of her. Customer service should prioritize understanding and flexibility, especially in moments of genuine need. Instead, I was treated with indifference and forced into an unnecessary transaction while in distress. Policies should never outweigh basic human decency—this experience has left a very negative impression of how little this business values its customers.

As we were ordering this lady told my father he couldn’t eat outside food inside and he understood and left, after we finished ordering I waited outside with both my parents and she comes out rudely and obnoxiously says no outside food inside or outside their patio and there was public seating across the street, she also yells this out loud in front of everyone which was embarrassing she didn’t need to be really rude about it. There was no sign anywhere with that policy only no public restroom. If you see the review about this person being charged for a cup of ice they provided a picture and it’s the same lady, blonde hair nose piercing. I wish I could’ve taken my tip back, I liked coming here but after this service from her I won’t be coming back.

Visited Sept. 18 and 19..see both receipts.
This place was walking distance to the hotel I was staying at. Indoor and outdoor seating.
The first day I had a mocha freeze..it hit the spot after shopping! Enjoyed it in their outside seating area.
The next day I got up and went for a long walk to explore more of the area and came back to Steamers to pick up breakfast to go. I ordered this HUGE croissant filled with ham and eggs and cheese - it was plenty to split between 2 people and so yummy! I also got a latte to go.
They serve breakfast and lunch with beer and wine available. There is also pastry options available.
It's nothing fancy inside..outdoor seating is more relaxing !
Great location and good food!

During a morning walk in old Sac I found this really cool breakfast place. It's got a cozy vibe, with a full breakfast menu and a ton of baked goods. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet with oven-baked bacon and their artisan coffee. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The place is clean and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend Steamers and I can't wait to go back!

This place used to be amazing the food was great... the portion size used to be great I haven't ordered from them in some years but in that time somewhere the quality of this place went down.... my order used to be the veggie burger and fries....they switched the veggie patty to some mushy patty and the fries came in a rather large white bag and they used to be 80-90% full now when I ordered 9/6 the bag was less then a quarter full I could literally count how many were in the bag.. this place is pretty pricey I didn't mind paying it for the portions they gave and the food was good now it's just not worth it..
