I attend Stoney's for the Country Swing dance class and Swing dancing that follows on Tuesday nights.
I have had dinner there two times. The food was great home style cooking and very affordably priced.

Very cool bar with karaoke and bull riding, definitely recommend!

Tuesdays were originally advertised for country swing/partner dancing but line dancing quickly came into play. Now it’s about 70 percent line dances, 30 percent swing. Makes absolutely no sense. The dance lessons are nothing special and advertised as “fusion” country swing(whatever that is) but leans heavily towards traditional swing. Additionally “fusion swing” is its own dance style and is different from rodeo swing and Modern country swing but the lead instructor seems to disregard this fact. Just call it what it is. MODERN COUNTRY SWING. But with that aside, Kevin (the owner) and all other employees are super friendly and are overall just a positive presence.

Cool bartenders minus one of them. Dude charged me for a drink that I ordered but NEVER received. Creepy older security was drunk on the job. Heavily flirted with my friend who was just making small talk who was young enough to his daughter. The VIBES were not there.

This a dying bar, a relic of old times. Don't believe the hype: This place sucks. Plus it's located in one of the most crime-ridden areas of Sacramento. An all-around terrible experience

Stoney’s Rockin’ Rodeo is such a fun place with a true country atmosphere. The line dancing floor is a blast—whether you know the steps or are just jumping in, it’s always exciting. The bar staff and entrance staff are both friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot to hang out, dance, and enjoy the night. Definitely recommend!

Owned by the nicest family. We have never been treated with such a generosity of kindness, respect, and community spirit. One of a kind experience that we will forever treasure, especially with everything happening in the world. The food was outstanding! We had so much learning to line dance and singing karaoke. We will definitely be back! 💕
