The Strings in my area had closed permanently. I knew there were other Strings in the Sacramento area. Me and my family were in the area and decided to go to the Carmichael one. I ordered the pizza. It wasn’t as big as it was at the other location. The price was $18.99. It was stale tasting. Definitely not worth the price. My sister got the lasagna combo with penne Alfredo sauce. The sauce on the lasagna tasted like it was days old and had been on a heat source for hours. It had a dark red color that only happens when it has been warmed up then refrigerated and then warmed again. It was gagging my sister. The Alfredo sauce was yellow and thick and lumpy. Something that happens when it has been on a heat source for a long time. My mom had fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was yellow and thick and lumpy. It wouldn’t even coat the noodles when stirring it. She asked for more sauce and it still wasn’t enough to coat all the noodles. We ended up sending it all back and decided not to get anything else. The sever was nice. I gave her a 30% tip. After we left and thought about it. I thought they were being shitty about it. We were charged for the salad. We did eat most of the salad even though it tasted more like vinegar than anything else. We we charged for the bread. We didn’t actually ask for bread. I know it comes with the meals. The bread was dry and flavorless. Even if you order a salad only you still get the bread for free. So that’s why I think they were being shitty about it and trying to get the most money out of us. I ended up paying $28 tip included for a vinegar salad and dry bread. I wish I would of thought to take a picture of it all. It was very disappointing . I am pretty sure they don’t care, but we won’t be coming back. That location should be closed down and bring back the one in my area. It was amazing. We ended up going to Jimboy’s tacos in Yuba city on the way home.

Great value great food. I cannot believe how delicious and tasty the bruschetta chicken was. Big portion chicken breast and good serving of pasta. Delicious house salad and soft crispy garlic bread all included with the entree. Family friendly and highly recommended for the cost. Leftovers too! Too full for desert but the menu looked great. Please support this small business. We’ll be back.

I love the spaghetti and marinara dish and the house salad. The garlic dressing is too die for. And don't get me started on the fluffy, melts in your mouth garlic bread. Everything is wonderful here.

My family has been coming to Strings for many years, at multiple locations. Their food has always been amazing, their bread and soup that comes with your meal is delicious and everytime I have a hard time trying to decide if I should order my favorite dishes or try something new (which always turns out well)!

I just tried to take my family out for a decent dinner this evening. We went to the Strings restaurant at Manzanita at Cypress. I had broccoli that was tasteless and undercooked. The children had a pizza that was worse than Little Caesars. And the french fries tasted like they’ve been freezer burned before they were cooked. I let the server now that my chicken piccata didn’t taste right and the texture was off. She asked me if I wanted anything else and based on the quality of the rest of the food I said no she offered me a discount so I said OK. I got my bill and they took 10% off the bill for a meal that was 95% unpalatable and uneaten. I will never go there again and highly recommend you save yourself the time and money too.

Ice cold food. Wrong order delivered. Ordered artichoke ravioli, got a white cheese rav with no red marinara sauce. Salad had no lettuce, just chopped white cabbage, one ring of red onion and one herry tomato. Horrible meal, want money back...

I ordered pizza a salad meatballs and a sprite
When I say the only thing that I enjoyed was the bread I mean it so maybe it's the food I ordered or maybe all these reviews are from an AI bot idk but what I do know is this pizza I got had no marinara sauce in it it was cheese on bread with pepperoni the meatball was edible but it seemed like that's where the marinara sauce was for the pizza and it kinda tainted the meatball at the end to much also when I opened my salad I found a plastic container with thousand Island sauce inside so I tried to call the owner to see if I can maybe get a different order and she yelled at me telling me to contact door dash when a customer is willing to let you fix a mistake it should be in your best interest to want the best quality for my customer what I would have did (hello would you mind bringing the food I prepared so I know which order it was then examined the flaws and learned from mistake) how owner handled situation (owner:hello
Customer:hello I received pizza with no marinara sauce in it
Owner :can't be I made that pizza myself
Customer:I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU THERES NO SAUCE ITS JUST BREAD CHEESE MORE CHEESE AND PEPPERONI
Owner:call door dash it's not my problem
Customer:I will never eat here again

I used to go to the Strings in Elk Grove as a kid so once I found out there was one in Carmichael I was really excited. The portion sizes were small, and the food was okay. My sister got a salmon and pesto dish that came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. She said the pesto was bland and the mashed potatoes were as good as the ones that come from a box. I ordered the eggplant parm which came with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. The eggplant parm was good but only came with two small pieces (other reviewers’ pictures showed 3 or 4), and the portion of fettuccine was so small. It wasn’t very good and I could only taste oil and garlic. The side salad was really good.
The server was super nice but not very attentive. She was the only good thing that would make me come back here.
