The service itself was great! Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, and she never let my Diet Coke become empty. When I asked for a third loaf of bread, she didn’t look at me like I’m insane. (All the things I appreciate with my server!)
However… The Alfredo sauce didn’t taste homemade or fresh and left something to be desired, and the lasagna just didn’t taste right. It was bitter and confusing. It could have been an off night, but it turned us off a little bit. It isn’t cheap to eat here, for two entrees and one Diet Coke, we spent $63, so it just didn’t feel like we ate $63 Alfredo or lasagna.
But again, it could have been an off night. The waitress was amazing, so if you do go, you’ll be treated so dang well. And I want to emphasize that because the quality of the food isn’t on the server, but the server does account for most of your dining experience. And she was wonderful.

Server and atmosphere was really good but the food is terrible. The bread was the best thing I had. Severely disappointed given I was really excited for some Italian food.

My wife has been coming here for years and I finally took the time to come to breakfast. Breakfast was amazing. I had the breakfast sandwich and it appeared and tasted like something my grandma would make me on a Sunday. Which is lost the current restaurant world of processed foods. I am excited to try other breakfast items. The server let us know that on Tuesdays they have a date night special. So my wife and I came back for date night and it did not disappoint. The salad, dinner, wine, and dessert was amazing. I told my wife we should come back for weekly date nights and brought dessert to my mother.
I have known about this restaurant in Carmichael for some time and for years and years I have never been. I have been missing out and will be making it a point to come back and enjoy regularly. #supportcarmichael

I ordered a chicken parm. OMG it was the most taste less pasta dish I have ever had...the chicken was fried to dark almost burnt it was dry and barely any marinara sauce on it with a little cheese melted on it..it look like a reheat i could be wrong..the pasta was surely boil without salt because it had absolutely no taste :( i was disturbed and disappointed i excepted better from them I ate there already and it was good..Hmmm I bought it to go only open it when I got home..Strings please tell your chef to do better for people money...Totally disgusted with your food :( someone who cannot cook, can't spoil a pasta dish...OMG...
Used to eat at Strings long ago and then they were gone (I thought). Imagine my surprise a few weeks ago when I found a lone 'Strings' just off of Manzanita @Cypress. I had to drop in and see how it was.
I am very happy to report a very positive experience. The food and service were very good. The classic Italian recipes that are well prepared and very tasty.
This place should be busier - very good food and it's even open for breakfast.

We wanted this place to be good so badly. The service was decent, spend like 70$ for three people. One of the chicken cutlets was inedible (chewy and old). Pork was WAY overcooked, good glaze but barley any. Veggies badly cooked. Tiny portions. One of the soups tasted as if it had gone bad (completely inedible). It's not even worth complaining at this point. These restaurants know their food is low quality and small portions with the same pricing as any other restaurant. We still tried it because some of the reviews were decent but it's was a complete waste of money. Not even half as good as olive garden and that's saying a lot. How can a small, Italian restaurant have such low concern for quality of their food? Absolutely now way they stay in business much longer without drastic changes. Unhealthy panda express would be better than this low quality, uninspired, fake Italian scrap. We thought about calling and complaining but I'd rather save whoever is reading this the time, money, and diarrhea. No joke!

The Strings in my area had closed permanently. I knew there were other Strings in the Sacramento area. Me and my family were in the area and decided to go to the Carmichael one. I ordered the pizza. It wasn’t as big as it was at the other location. The price was $18.99. It was stale tasting. Definitely not worth the price. My sister got the lasagna combo with penne Alfredo sauce. The sauce on the lasagna tasted like it was days old and had been on a heat source for hours. It had a dark red color that only happens when it has been warmed up then refrigerated and then warmed again. It was gagging my sister. The Alfredo sauce was yellow and thick and lumpy. Something that happens when it has been on a heat source for a long time. My mom had fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was yellow and thick and lumpy. It wouldn’t even coat the noodles when stirring it. She asked for more sauce and it still wasn’t enough to coat all the noodles. We ended up sending it all back and decided not to get anything else. The sever was nice. I gave her a 30% tip. After we left and thought about it. I thought they were being shitty about it. We were charged for the salad. We did eat most of the salad even though it tasted more like vinegar than anything else. We we charged for the bread. We didn’t actually ask for bread. I know it comes with the meals. The bread was dry and flavorless. Even if you order a salad only you still get the bread for free. So that’s why I think they were being shitty about it and trying to get the most money out of us. I ended up paying $28 tip included for a vinegar salad and dry bread. I wish I would of thought to take a picture of it all. It was very disappointing . I am pretty sure they don’t care, but we won’t be coming back. That location should be closed down and bring back the one in my area. It was amazing. We ended up going to Jimboy’s tacos in Yuba city on the way home.

Great value great food. I cannot believe how delicious and tasty the bruschetta chicken was. Big portion chicken breast and good serving of pasta. Delicious house salad and soft crispy garlic bread all included with the entree. Family friendly and highly recommended for the cost. Leftovers too! Too full for desert but the menu looked great. Please support this small business. We’ll be back.

I love the spaghetti and marinara dish and the house salad. The garlic dressing is too die for. And don't get me started on the fluffy, melts in your mouth garlic bread. Everything is wonderful here.
