And it’s nice that there’s an option for an affordable cup of coffee if you don’t feel like treating yourself to their fancier options. Street parking in the nearby neighborhood is a tough since most the streets are “permit only” but keep an eye on the signs because some of them are 1 or 2 hour parking without a permit ??

This place is great it is a small place but it is understandable. The food looked gerat I had the double cheeseburger and it took me back to my childhood when burgers tasted like burgers. The staff were friendly, inviting, and patient.

Great family owned restaurant for breaky and lunch. They are always so warm and welcoming. Perfect escape as a UCD Health staff.
We were staying in midtown Sacramento and looking for a nearby place for breakfast. The sunshine cafe fit the bill! We ordered an omelet and egg sandwiches along with coffees. The food and drink were good. This is a small, family run place. We were comfortable at the counter along the front window. There are also a few tables inside and outside. The woman who took our order and brought our food was pleasant. I would definitely recommend this as a breakfast spot. We wanted to come back and try some of their Korean food for lunch but didn't get a chance.

I love this place but they're customer service left a bad taste in my mouth today. I have wanted to bring my husband for one of their breakfast burritos for months actually came one morning that was a holiday for UCD only to find they were closed so I figured I'm off today, it's not a holiday and yes they are open it's 1030am. I even call to make sure and get there order his burrito to be told it's lunch time. He was OK with lunch but not me i said okay we'll just come another time not once did the lady say well don't leave. Makes me wonder how much they value my business at the end of the day. Not only will I probably not ever eat there again I'll tell all my colleagues, i love supprting small businesses. I'm going to miss those pot stickers ?

This little cafe holds such a special place in my heart.. Our twin girls were born prematurely and we spent 5 months at UCDavis with them. One of the nurses told us about the Sunshine Cafe and it instantly became our favorite. The owners became almost like family to us.. They were always so sweet and always greeted us with warmth. Their food was always incredible and the atmosphere is great too! We are in Idaho now and can't enjoy their delicious food, unfortunately. If we are in the area again we will definitely be stopping by. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
