I usually order teriyaki chicken or beef with extra macaroni salad. The macaroni salad is delicious. When I’m feeling something extra, I get musubi also. The beef and chicken are killer and the spam is really good as well depending on your preference.

The family deal is awesome also. Sometimes I order that for myself and eat it for a couple days when I’m too busy to cook.

The loco moco patty was pretty dry, but the sauce was ok. The fire chicken was very sweet. The chicken katsu was decent. The fried noodle was....... Just put it this way, i took no more than one bite. The only food I probably enjoyed from here was the macaroni. I gave Sunny a few chances and really wanted to like this place but the quality and flavor of their food just doesn't cut it.

Food is always freshly made! It’s our favorite local spot for when we crave Hawaiian bbq chicken and chicken katsu

I’ve tried this place twice so far and both times I was thoroughly disappointed. The first time I went here, I ordered the island fire chicken. Not a great taste at all. Best part of the meal was the macaroni salad. Second time I had a combo beef and shrimp plate that was mediocre at best and was charged a bit extra as they don’t have that combo listed.. why? For $15, Beef was tough/chewy, and was served a tiny portion of rice (for my standards). The shrimp was okay; deep fried and a good portion. Definitely my favorite part of the meal, especially with tartare sauce. Still did not make up for the taste of the beef. I hope you guys make some changes to the quality of your beef meat.

Thank god I’m going to Hawaii next week and can eat GOOD Hawaiian food. Probably won’t be back. Change my mind.

Just tried to call and place an order here and the person who picked up was doing a terrible job trying to understand the simple adjustments I was trying to make to one of their dishes. After not understanding me a couple of times they hung up. I called l&l Hawaiian and tried the same order and had zero problems.

I recently moved to this part of town and noticed new food places in the area I haven't tried before. I went to Sunny, and it's one of my favorite go-to lunch spots now. The cashier is really nice, and I'm always full off of their Mini Meals. Anything larger, and it becomes leftovers for the next day. Student and age 65+ discounts exist, too, so CSUS students, remember to show that OneCard.

The chicken katsu is very good and crispy. There were a lot of defferent good Sauces. The crab Rangoon was filled with flavors and had a lot of crab in it. The place had good and kind staff. There where a lot of seats to chose from.

The bbq chicken is my favorite , very good. The Bbqbeef also taste very good. The macaroi salad pairs good with a lot of things.
