Wonderful quality sushi and acceptable prices for the quality. One of the staff literally hung up on me while I was ordering once but other than that they've been extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're unsure

Came here for a girls dinner with my friend who lives in Elk Grove. When we first walked in, we waited to be seated and there wasn't anybody at the front for a few minutes, but eventually somebody came over and sat us down. They aren't a large restaurant, but a good size and have a bar you can sit at. The server was nice & our food came out pretty quickly for a friday. The appetizers were a good 4/5 and tasted as expected. As for the sushi i'd rate it as follows: Overdose 3/5, Sushi Q 4/5 & Black Ops 5/5. And the Thai flavored ice cream 5/5 hands down!

Putting the Q in quality. Quit Questioning and head here...Quick! One of my go-to sushi spots in the greater sacramento area. Sushi Q has great tasting food, friendly staff and though sometimes busy it's always worth the wait. I've tried a few of their menus and they all did not disappoint. From the Chef's Choice Chirashi to the lunch box specials (3 pc albacore is the best!) to my favorite roll they offer -- the Elk Grove roll. The Elk Grove roll has several GENEROUS pieces of BBQ Albacore on top of the roll, priced at $26 it's one roll that i'd say is actually worth the price. I usually end up eating half and saving the rest for later. The fish in the Chirashi bowl always taste fresh and the BBQ albacore is seared to perfection. I clearly have an addiction to the albacore, so i'll shut up about it now. Go ahead and add this space to your Queue of places to visit.

I have been a supporter of this location since the day it first opened. In better times in the first two years, I visited Sushi Q twice a week. I love the sushi. It's very good and is a particular stand out amongst so many places that just don't offer quality sashimi. The servers, in my experience have been stellar. That was a big part of so many returns to the restaurant. The servers were so sweet that I always tipped over 25% to 30% even on very small orders. I felt like they really cared about the food and they always treated me very well whether I spent $20 on a meal or I spent $200. I brought a lot of customers plus clients from out of town and have really done all I can to support this restaurant. Today I felt like spending a considerable amount more than the usual bento box for lunch and ordered the chirashi. This is a $48 item which is a rather expensive lunch but again I hadn't had this in probably a couple of years and wanted to have an epic lunch. This was my first time experience with this server and so I mentioned that I wanted to order that item but asked if he could inform me about what fish was included. He said it was whatever the chef chooses in a little bot of an aggressive way. I that perhaps i misunderstood the tone because at $48 I'd like to know if there's salmon, tuna etc because I couldn't remember. So I asked him again and said that yes, I understood that was the case but if I could have an idea of some of the fish items in the dish, that would be helpful. He was hostile in his reply, and repeated the same thing again. I was quite put off by that and was tempted to leave at that point but I said again I understood that however, I want some idea as an is there salmon in there or is there something else in there and he replied, yes there salmon in there. That was extremely offputting and a little bit shocking because Sushi Q always hires wonderful people or at least the ones I've had have been absolutely wonderful which is over a four or five years if I'm not mistaken. He brought my dish over and didn't give me a dipping bowl for soy sauce to dip the sashimi in so I had to figure out something. I didn't see him again until he had a bill for me. Again, I typically tip anywhere between 25 and 30% on the bill based on what I can afford and how I feel the service was. I gave not one penny more than 10%. Even as I drove away, I felt like that was too much. I don't expect much in the way of service anymore with restaurants or companies, but this one has had a stellar track record with me and so this really put me off. I'm not even sure I'm going back at this point if I am going to have him as a server again. That's too bad because this place is a gem in an area that is in great need of good quality restaurants.

Went here on a date -- small, unassuming location with remarkable quality! My favorite of the evening was the sampler. Each slice of fish was fresh, smooth, and incredibly soft; there was also a number of small bites alongside the sampler sashimi, which add greatly to the experience. Price is reasonable for the quality, and the servers were friendly as well. Looking forward to coming back!

The food was incredible and the service was so friendly! I got the Elk Grove Roll and Kimmie Roll. The Elk Grove is always a classic with the albacore on top. It's slightly charred with a delightful sauce. I also ordered a small sashimi platter (15 pieces) and it simply melts in your mouth!

The food is good but the call in service is horrible. A person either has to call either 10 plus times to get through or just go in and wait 30-40 minutes for your order. If I have an hour to spear I'll eat there otherwise we just go to near by sushi restaurants.

Ok. Big sushi, could be better . Wait hella long tho...like fr, I was like yall fishing for fish rn or what? Might as well had gone to safeway

Tried this place a second time doing a pickup order because you never can sit and eat due to it being so small, and the 3 rolls we got were again poorly wrapped and again the seaweed wrap inside was really tough unfortunately this is the last time and will not recommend this to anyone.

Hi. I ordered to go, I was going to wait but I was told that you would call me. After 50 minutes, nothing. I had to call and my food was ready. But someone forgot to call me. By the time I got home, it was cold.

The food is good but very expensive. I have been here many times but I still think they need to be more attentive with there customers. The inside of the restaurant is very small and if they are busy you have to wait very long. I think if they expand to bigger restaurant the atmosphere would be much better. At the moment very cramp if you want to wait outside for your dinner!
