One of the best sushi spots in Sacramento area. I’m sad that I found it so late as they are moving to a new location. The moment you walk in through the doors you are greeted by the friendliest people and the smiling sushi chefs are happy to see you even though they seem really busy. The nice lady seated us in right away and brought out iced lemon water. The environment is peaceful and maintained to very clean standards. We ordered two sushi rolls which both were the best sushi we had in awhile. Even though we waited for our sushi rolls for about 20 minutes, it was well worth it as we got time for the delicious sushi they kept bringing out. Definitely a new favorite and will follow them to the new place.

This place was fantastic!! I am pregnant and craving sushi but obviously limited. They had so many baked or non raw options that were not just deep fried. The Bay Roll was the best thing ever! Service was friendly and everything was

We ordered salmon, but they gave us overcooked mackerel. For some reason, portions of beef in the meal are less than previous visits. Also, in the combo tempura shrimp was not included when it always had before. Miso soup was flavorless. It seems either ownership or management has changed.

Cozy sushi restaurant, menu has a little bit of everything and very well sorted. Sad they are moving to a new location, but hopefully it'll be more spacious for more people to enjoy, it's worth the extra

Absolute hidden gem here. It was criminally slow on a Friday night for how good their food is. Everything we ordered was unique and flavorful and prepared with a lot of care and attention. We started with the spicy garlic edamame and agadashi tofu which were both lovely and then ordered several rolls for the table all of which were delicious and beautiful! You should definitely give this place a try next time you're looking for a new sushi place.

Food, atmosphere and customer services was excellent. We had agedashi tofu, soft shell crabs and cream cheese jalapeño as appetizers. We share 3 types of rolls ocean crunch, almost perfect and New year something (forgot the name). And, bento box with chicken and gyoza, hot sake and two hot tea. The cream cheese jalapeño wasn't spicy but has the jalapeño taste. We like it. About the rolls- I love the spiciness on the new year roll. The almost perfect has lemony top it was so refreshing, if eat this last to clear your palate. It's not overpowering lemony taste, it just perfect- just like the name. The ocean crunch was oceany delicious. All for $94 before tax- my daughter's birthday dinner.Everything was delicious and fresh. Place was clean. No craziness outaside, we were there last night, Sat at 7.30-8.30. Food was served on time, sake was hot and smooth. Ask for small, enough to share among 3 people. Highly recommended, go here today.

I lived around the corner from this place for 7 years and never tried it. From the outside it looks very unassuming. Located in a strip mall next to a liquor store and a laundromat I was expecting a teriyaki chain. I was very wrong. Sushi Yo has some of the most creative rolls, freshest fish, and really creative vegetarian offings I've seen. Always had great service and the interior is beautiful. I hear they are moving near Arden and I hope they continue their legacy

Called in an order, and was told a 40 minute wait. Ended up being 55 minutes instead. Spent $55 on two rolls, an appetizer shrimp tempura, and a katsu bowl. Both of the rolls "Thursday" and I forgot the other one were super bland and full of rice and nothing else. Katsu was overcooked, the only thing that was decent was the shrimp tempura. Will probably not return.

This is my favorite sushi spot in Sacramento, everywhere else seems to fall short in terms of flavor and texture.Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options.

An absolutely pleasant surprise to find this great place!!!! We delighted that there was some yummy sushi located on Folsom. Very fresh and delicious!!! Actually I think this is my new spot. Excellent service just an all around good experience!!!

Do not let the outside be the reason you don’t try this sushi spot. I come here about every weekend & order the Lobster Roll. One of the best sushi in Sacramento & I’ve been too many.

This place is located in an unassuming little strip mall, decorated nicely and was clean. Our server was sweet and on top of checking on us/refills. There was a large menu to choose from and all of the rolls we got were really good and beautifully presented. The only gripe we had as a table was that each of our food came out with long gaps of time in between so the first person was waiting a good 15-20 min by the time the third person's food came out for us to all eat together. It wasn't that busy either which could warrant a little time in between sometimes but not like this. I would go back, more likely for take out though.
