I hadn’t tried sweetgreen until this one just opened up in Sac. I went in thinking I was going to be served an overpriced, unsatisfyingly small “slop bowl.” After trying it, I was completely wrong.
The bowl I got, the Chicken Cauli Plate with a few custom toppings, was delicious. And the portion size was way bigger than I expected. I live only a few blocks away, and I honestly kind of hate how much I enjoyed the food there. I’ll definitely be coming back way too much I can already tell.
The most unexpected thing about my visit was seeing the huge, automatic bowl maker conveyor belt thing that makes most of your bowl/salad. Wasn’t expecting that, and I thought it was real neat.
I still think it’s a little pricey, but other than that, I’ll be stopping by pretty regularly now I think.
I wanted to hate on this place as being overpriced, mid food and not worth it, but dang it that’s not the case at all actually.

I met Tim outside who was incredibly kind, warm and welcoming! The store is beautiful and clean. Lily helped me and she was so sweet and helpful! Everything is so fresh and delicious! Definitely give them a try! Very allergy aware and lots of customizable options for all eaters!
We had salads that were extremely fresh and tasty! Service was quick and the employees were friendly. There are a lot of different salad options and they are very customizable. They have little kiosks where you can type in your order and pay; this was actually nice because you can do the customizing of your salad at your own pace.
This food is legit healthy and tastes wonderful, and really not too expensive compared to other food places, especially considering the quality. Will definitely come here again.

Eh, overpriced and dry. After a couple small modifications to our bowls they were over $20 each. When we received our take out order there were no utensils or napkins. Whatever, but the food was very unsatisfying. Needed more sauce. Small portions for price. Focaccia was so dry too. Will not return here. Only positive is that the ingredients did seem fresh

Not the nicest staff but the food is really good! I got a text my order was ready- the lady told me in a frustrated tone that they’ll call my name when it’s ready. Ok. Then the next lady calls my name, places the bowl down, I ask for a bag and she slides it across the counter at me. Then she calls the next people but she happily puts theirs in a bag for them. I felt awkward about the two encounters but I got home and tried the bowl I got and it was great.
