I’ve been a loyal customer of Temple Coffee Roasters for a while and have never had an issue—until today. Unfortunately, the customer service I received was disappointing. The staff seemed uninterested, inattentive, and unhelpful, which is not what I’ve come to expect from this place. It’s frustrating when a business known for quality coffee falls short on service. Hoping this was just an off day, but it definitely left a bad impression.
Friendly staff with a cool mellow vibe.

Coffee/mochas were decent but I ordered 5 of the same to go and each cup was a quarter from the top.

Not a tasty cup. Dirty chai was horrid.$15 for a vanilla latte and chai. Preposterous.

Coffee is a little better than average but there muffins are terrible. It tasted like it was just out of a cooler and crumbled to powder when I bit into it.

I like almost everything about this place except for one thing.
When I get my tea as dine-in, the spout of the tea pot is usually dirty. I first noticed when I saw some old dried tea leaves in the spout. I used a wet napkin to get them out, but when I did that, there were also specks of brown on it. Since then, I've been using a napkin to wipe the inside of the spout, and everytime it comes out with brown stuff on it.
I'd recommend buying some sort of brush for the staff to clean it easily, similar to the ones used to clean metal straws.
I really like the tea, and I love staying here to get work done, but this does kind of gross me out, so I hope something can be done.

Stopped in for a quick espresso. At first I did not understand the counter instructions at all (order from where? stand where? why isn't it obvious?) and wasn't sure if I should sit or give my order. Thankfully, the tall barista with glasses and dark hair (near the pastry display in my photo) was friendly and helped me when I looked confused. She suggested a nice banana bread and was overall much friendlier and more helpful than the other staff. This location was super full in the afternoon with workers. I probably won't be back, but I wanted to shout out the one staffer that saved the day for me. She seems like she really cares about customers.

10/10 great coffee. You order with the barista and pay last. The drink was ready when I paid! Specialty coffee grade. Tons of coffee options. Awesome.
Dietary restrictions: They have vegan options for most of their offerings.
