I love they are open late and taste good. Portions could be better for the price. But taste better than the other ones around. I had the pad Thai. Pineapple fried rice. And fried pork and rice. I asks for little spicy the 2nd time. Was way too spicy.

My favorite part of this restaurant is the fact that they are open until 2 AM! Even after midnight, their customer service and food quality is still on point. They even have not just one, but TWO happy hours in a day (3-6 pm & 9 pm-1 am) *WAIT TIME- never had to wait too long when it comes to ordering or receiving food *AMBIANCE- not super fancy but not super causal. It's pretty inside and out in the patio.Definitely lives up to its midtown/downtown vibe. *QUALITY- best Thai food in sac! So good that we never felt the need to try any other. Price is worth the good quality and serving size. Pad Thai is far from bland! Thai tea is on the sweeter side and iced coffee is on the stronger side even though it comes w/ condensed milk *CUSTOMER SERVICE- great, no matter how late it is. That's a pretty big deal since many places when it gets lousy after a certain time. Hardworking staff working in the front and back. *RESTROOM- 1 gender neutral :) *OUTSIDE SEATING- they have a small/medium sized patio with 1 long table & counters w/ bar stools (they also set up more tables & chairs w/ umbrellas out in front of the restaurant during covid) *PARKING- can be hard to find since it is in midtown and they don't have a private lot, so you pretty much have to pay for metered street parking unless you go after 10 pm

I'm new to the area and I can say I have no need to order from any other Thai restaurant because this one already far exceeded my expectations. I ordered the pad Thai and pad si we, which mind you I didn't even know what it was but the picture looked good, and it was! I'm so full and there's still leftovers! Great portions, they seriously don't skimp out on the meat and shrimp either.

It all started at their Davis location few years ago and don't worry, quality is just the same here. Pad Thai is full of flavor and I love that the sauce is wet on the noodles. I switch from hot to Thai hot depending on the mood. Spice level my be inconsistent depending if the Thai chili is in season. So be aware that it could get extremely hot. My favorite dessert is their Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Tea is a must too.Currently they are offering outdoor seating for those who are curious.

The capitalist's existential crisis continues...What is success? How can I hold this together? What's next?? ... Fortunately, Thai Canteen awaits, open.

Way to spicy for mild and medium dish, noodles were super super over cooked. Threw everything out but spring rolls, and yuca, hard to mess up something fried i guess.. maybe these guys are good in restaurant, but definitely not good in covid times

Sh*t happens. I once had a very very screwed up delivery order 'dashed' from this joint, but I've ordered from them a zillion times since and they always provide quality thai. Faves are the pork belly and duck rice plates, green curry fried rice, and pad kee mao. Get everything spicy. Thai is better when your mouth is on fire.If they'd only put pad woon sen on their menu, I'd never eat anything else.
Love this place I order from here regularly. I've bever been disappointed with a dish or the service. Nathan is awesome and super friendly and always makes sure you're catered to. If you're a sake lover like me, try the T's tea, you won't regret it ;)

Doordash thai canteen tonight and this is the first time my chicken was raw ordering from them. Such a disappointment. 2/6 chicken was not cook .

I ordered from Door Dash tonight. Waited two hours and no food. They cancelled on me. I call Thai Canteen and they told me that I could pick up my food at no charge. I drove all the way out there to be told that they made a mistake and I had to pay for my food. They were like, "Ooops, sorry." I order food from this place all the time, and this really upset me. How is their mistake my problem? Unprofessional, poor service, especially after what happened. This place is whack.

I ordered Pad thai and Pad Gra Prow late in the night (picked it up at 12.30am). I loved that there serve food late in the night but the quality needs to be improved.Pad Thai - I have had much better pad thai at other places. The issue with this dish was it was full of orange color and didn't taste good at all. The orangeness was from food color and not from any sauce. Rating 1/5Pad Gra Prow - It was decent and tasted as described, since it was from the dinner menu it came with rice too. Rating 3/5I am going to try out some other dishes and update my review based on what I find. For now its 2 stars.
