Only in Sacramento will a Holiday inn charge you for a basic buffet breakfast. It was nothing special, it's the same spread you will get at any other Holiday across the country. It did the job.
Food was great (veggies were cooked but still firm and tasty, salmon was nummy - could have been cooked less but I'm a snob, pilaf was great), not too spendy, wait staff was not only patient with my allergy questions, they were very attentive without hovering. The bar is very typical of a hotel bar, open to the lobby and elevator areas, but even with a game on, still pretty chill. And there's a POPCORN MACHINE!
Can't say much about their regular menu but we had the thanksgiving menu and that food was cold no flavor and dry. The cook should know better than to serve that food like that, if he or she is a cook.
