The Mill Elvas Avenue Cafe

I ride with a friend and we use the Sac State property enntrance right next to The Mill. We stopped in the other day after a very cold ride for some coffee. The place is very clean with plenty of parking. There is a safe place around back to prop your bikes uo which is nice. Coffeee was good and well made, the staff was nice but it did take a while to get our drinks. This is ok but there was no explanation given until I took the coffee's, minor issue for sure... they do havea large variety of tea's and tea accessories also.

Coffee is decent, but extremely pricey. It should not be normal to spend $9-$10 on one basic latte.

Some of the best waffles in Sacramento.

I got a hot latte to go, put their presentation sucks. The barista just made me a latte with a lot of foam, no latte art and just closed it and gave it to me like that. Hate when they do this at reputable coffee shops, as if I’m ordering a coffee from McDonald’s
1 star for presentation, wish they tried just as hard to make a good latte for their customers that do ‘to go’ as well

Place is kinda ugly, the service is way slow and worse of all no acknowledgement when u step or are there for 2 min lol, pricey, coffee is ok, nutty but not sweet, temple is still the best around. Presentation sucked forget ablut latte art, mill was steamed decently not
Hot or cold around 140f. Forgettable.

This place had the best caramel latte my girlfriend has ever had, and we have been to a lot of coffee houses. The outside seating is very comfortable and the employees are very friendly.

We ordered a mocha, and it was pretty good. We were not aware that The Mill roasted their own coffee as there were no pictures of the roastery in any review. We would have been coming by much more often if we had known. We posted a picture of their roastery. It would be a really cool place to sit as customers can watch the roaster in action. Plus, the smell would be awesome.Since there is limited seating inside and outside the actual cafe that if they opened a small area in the roastery, that it would add a few more seats for customers who wanted to hang out while enjoying their drinks.
