Had breakfast here! It was delicious. I got eggs, sausage links and hash browns. My wife got the belgian waffle

Comfort food at it's finest. Perfect!

The classiest greasy spoon in town. The food is always exceptional. The biscuit and gravy plate with two eggs and hash browns is the perfect portion. Enough to make you feel full, but not stuffed. Also, a 16oz. Mimosa? Sign me up! If you go on a weekend prepare to wait... But it's well worth it.

Charming ambiance & simple food! Really enjoyed the customer service, and how it feels like you stepped into a vintage diner. I am vegan so I ordered the vegan croissant & gravy plate. It was pretty good, but not mind blowing. I will order a different meal next time!

As a flight attendant, I travel constantly and interact with hundreds of customer service professionals. So believe me when I say—Time, my server at The Morning Fork, is one of the best I’ve ever encountered.

I arrived 20 minutes before closing, and I know that’s a big deal. I don’t take that lightly—especially having worked in customer service myself. I expected to be hurried or politely turned away. Instead, I was welcomed with kindness, patience, and complete professionalism.

Time never made me feel like an inconvenience. She answered every question with a genuine smile, got my food out quickly, and even let me use tap-to-pay when I realized I’d forgotten my wallet. She didn’t just provide great service—she provided a moment of calm and kindness that stayed with me.

At a small brunch spot in Sacramento, she delivered the kind of experience I’ve had in world-class restaurants. The Morning Fork is lucky to have her, and so was I.

We finally had a chance to try this place and overall it was nice, friendly staff, ambiance was on point and the food had only 2 problems in our opinion. My potatoes were good but greasy ?. My daughter’s seafood omelette had baby shrimp in it instead of regular shrimp to match the price of $28. And lastly i was looking forward to having a hot chocolate but our waiter said they were out of whipped cream so i settled for a cup of coffee which i don’t necessarily like to drink coffee or tea but it was a hot beverage.

Eclectic local eatery. Nice friendly service. Fun sitting at the counter. Singles and doubles. Pecan/pumpkin waffle and corned beef hash are excellent.

The food was great and my main server was very nice. My two complaints: the all Michael Jackson playlist was annoying and the dude who brought my food came and plonked my plates down on the table without a word or eye contact then walked off. I also waited for coffee refill for a fair minute. My second visit and both times noticed several staff members seem to hate life and customers. The food is pretty solid though, so it's still probably worth it.

10/10. The best breakfast in sac. No trendy menu, no fancy presentation. Just good old fashioned diner food with some elevations. Recommend the country fried steak and potato with a blue berry waffle for the table!

If you like farmers/street markets, head to Morning Fork in Saturday to get the best of both worlds. There hasn't been one thing on the menu that isn't spectacular. My husband's go to and favorite, is the sage chicken and waffles. I love the salsa omelet. Service is friendly and efficient.

Vegetarian options: You can make many of the dishes vegetarian by excluding and substituting.

Parking: Free 2 hour parking only on weekends.
There are no reservations here. If you get there before 9:00 the wait is usually less than 10 minutes. After 9:00, it's a 20-40 minute wait.

Excellent flavor, a little late. A must for breakfast in Sacramento. The chicken in my waffles was just right, very juicy.

Food was elevated and great. Well worth the wait.

We had a 20+ minute wait on a weekday so be prepared to have a significantly longer wait on the weekends.

Service was ok. We had to keep hunting staff down for things.

Atmosphere was cramped, loud and humid.

Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. Staff is unkind and unprofessional. I deeply regret giving this restaurant a chance, mostly due to the way i was treated when my order was incorrect. Long story short, I ordered a meal for pick up and found hair in my food along with missing ingredients. When I spoke to the manager on duty Stephanie, she gave me more attitude than help and made rectifying the issue so uncomfortable. She didn’t want to process a refund and then gave me attitude when I couldn’t drive all the way back to the restaurant that same day for a remake because they had already made it. She never apologized for the inconvenience and really tried to place the blame on me and make me feel at fault. Then Stephanie tried to charge me additional after offering to add to the sandwich (I actually thought she was being courteous, but clearly no one in this establishment knows the meaning of that word) - which is crazy because I tipped when I picked up my order so the least they could do was be nice about it. The next day I came and was met with so much animosity. One of the other staff members tried to make it seem like I was mistaken and at fault about my order and completely ignored it being hair garnished with hair, which was my main issue. Even the host who was so fake friendly the previous day had attitude when handing me the bag. I could tell after glancing at the food that they intentionally made the remake meal with less effort, just to be petty and unprofessional.
This is a lousy restaurant, I don’t recommend wasting your money here. The staff takes everything personally and will show their true colors if you don’t accept their mistakes as if. To top it off the food is very bland.
