Great food, Great Service, Beautiful atmosphere. We had a fantastic time.
2/21/26 Horrible experience for party of 6! Our server was inattentive, untrained and clearly didn’t care. We requested bread for our table (up charge) and waited 30 minutes to be served 2 slices of toast! The soup was served cold and 1 entree was too salty to eat yet there was no urgency to rectify it. We requested a condiment for an entree salad and it finally came 20+ minutes later. After speaking with the manager it was clear that she too was untrained and inexperienced. Total failure by management!!

Definately a fun experience. Seems to fly under the radar. The stained glass near the ceiling is incredible!

The food was extremely bland/tasteless & the mahi mahi & short ribs were overcooked. Even the macarons were overcooked. Not worth the money.

It is an incredible atmosphere, nice view, nice music... I'd recommend more sea shanties haha!
Some dudebro sits next to our table and starts blaring his videos on speakerphone. Everyone stared and nearly everyone just cleared out. Bad form.
Our waiter was incredible and, after the guy was cleared out, it returned to being a quiet romantic morning. :)

Our waiter Julian was outstanding. Our food and drinks were excellent. All of the staff were wonderful and we will be back.
had a family dinner at Delta King and really enjoyed the experience. Main courses are in the $35–60 range, and the desserts were fresh and nicely done. The historic riverboat setting feels mostly authentic, and the view of Tower Bridge at night is beautiful.
It does get busy, so service can be a bit slow at times, but overall the food, atmosphere, and location made it a great spot for a special family dinner in Old Sacramento.

While I still highly recommend the Pilothouse restaurant, the night we were there it was very noisy and the salad had to many hard pieces from the center of the lettuce and the polenta was not hot. The service was great and we love the atmosphere.

We came here for their New Year's Eve Masquerade ball. For the price I was not impressed. Some of the food was lukewarm and not good. The party space was laughable with the smallest dance floor I'd ever seen, not enough seating or tables for everybody that was attending the ball, they had full house lights on over the bar which messed with the ambiance of the rest of the ball. The dessert buffet was disappointing and everything looked like it had been bought from a grocery store. Drink prices were outrageous. There were people with babies at the party. There was a lady with four teenagers , and she was letting them into the party so they could run around and take stuff off of the dessert buffet. They never checked if we had bought tickets. Everything seemed really unorganized. The best part of this masquerade ball was the fireworks. I will definitely not be back for any of their special events.

First time we have eaten brunch at the Delta King. I would have liked some smaller plate options but otherwise the food was good, except that the potatoes were not very hot. Service was excellent.
We came for the 2026 Dine Downtown event. The Pilothouse is a restaurant on the historic steamship, the Delta King, moored in Old Sacramento. It was fascinating to see all the brassworks and woodworks on the ship. On to the meal! It was fabulous! We started with Pesto croquets which had a perfect crunch on the outside, creamy texture inside, and a nice kick from the pesto sauce. The main entree was Beef Bourginon with tender short ribs a on top of creamy mashed potatoes- heavenly! I had a glass of Zin and dessert was an amazing Lemon Meyer bar. Staff service was attentive and excellent. Definitely recommend.
This dine downtown experience was one of the most wonderful experience I've had the food was absolutely the magnificent. The appetizer was delicious! The short ribs just fell apart. That lemon bar was superb! The staff was impeccable, great service!
Fun on the river, good food!!
